I will say my pedicures were done well and were I did not have any problems, however, in the middle of my last pedicure, the lady stopped using the cuticle cutter on my toe, to use the same one to cut a piece of skin off her own finger. I also had two separate bad experiences with my nails. First the girl that did my nail was so distracted she didn't even shape them. I had been in the chair for two hours and had to go. I was so mad, I didn't even realized they weren't shaped and were very uneven, until I left. I went back a couple of days later and got them fixed. The guy did not charge me. So, I decided, maybe this was a new girl, maybe she was having an off day. I went back a couple weeks later. I went, when they opened at 10am. I had a flight to catch at 6, however, the airport was four 3 hours away. I just wanted my nails filled in. They told me, that because it is the powder dip they couldn't fill in my nails and took the dip polish off my nails. I later found out that was false. I could have had them filled in. I wanted the same color of nails I had before so I picked it out. An hour and 45 min later this is what my nails looked like. less than two weeks later my nails were cracking and falling off. I've gone to Hot Nails for pedicures for years, but prices keep increasing and service and consistency keep decreasing. I can't recommend it anymore. Other reviews on the internet suggest that it's under new ownership/management. Sometimes, it's good. Most times, it's not and a waste of good money. Today was the last straw. I was charged the most I've ever been charged for a pedicure. It was 20 minutes. The technician was too busy watching tv, didn't know what he was doing, and was in a hurry to leave work. And to soak my feet for a few minutes and clip and color my nails, I was charged $60! Time to try other places. I'll update this post when I find a good one. read more

A deluxe pedicure includes less than 30 seconds of scraping. The woman doing my mothers pedicure left halfway through to wax someone's eye brows and left her sitting there. Did not sanitize hands in between either. We had to ask for her to repaint nails that were only halfway covered. To still not have them covered. My friend was coming in to town to visit me and wanted to get a pedicure. I don't like them, but I wanted to soak my feet. We went friday evening and there was obviously miscommunication because I had to tell them I just wanted to soak my feet. I've never felt so judged for wanting to just soak my feet and spend time with a friend. They started speaking in whatever their language is (I don't mean that in a racist way, but they weren't speaking English, and I'm not sure what they were speaking) and kept looking at us with almost disgust. They did some rearranging and finally just started her pedicure. When they were done the guy who did her pedi said it's $15 for you(just to soak my feet in water- they didn't put anything fancy in it) and they weren't busy at all especially for a Friday. I got up to where my friend was drying her toes and I told her what he said. She said it's my treat bc it was my idea, when I finally agreed and the guy came over he told her $18 for me and $28 for her(she just got a basic pedi). I said you told me $15 and he said "oh yeah". The service was terrible, the techs were rude, and tried to get one over on us by lying and was going to overcharge the already overcharged price he told me. I won't be going back here. read more

Kept hurting me and when I would tell him he was hurting me, he would ignore me and continued being rough. If I could give this place a zero then I would. I had a terrible service. I looked at some yelp reviews from them an they all seemed great, an they had some great nail design pictures so I decided to go. I get there an show a lady the design I wanted an she points out a man and said "he can do that for you, just show him the picture an he will tell you the price before he does it." I show the man the picture an he says "I can't do that, pick out a color", I hesitantly picked out a pink nail color. He didn't let my cuticles soak long enough an ripped them so the bled. He was very awkward an before he started on my pedicure I saw a lady next to me with a beautiful color so I asked to have that color, he tells me it was dip nails an I asked if it cost extra. He said yes, it was 45$ and I said no thank you I'll stick with my gel nails. He began to scoff an laugh at me because I didn't want to spend the extra money, I was very angry. I watched him paint my nails an it seemed like he had no idea what he was doing, he kept globing the nail polish in all my cuticle areas an it looked worse than I could do. I'm giving Hot Nails a 3 because I have been there before and had a great experience. However last night was not one of those. I wouldn't call my nail tech rude, but she was less than friendly. I was getting a powder dip and asked for Nugenics Nail Powder, NL-08 Bridal Party. However what I got was NU-09 Professor Plum. At first I thought the color was dark, but I considered maybe it would look different once it was finished as the powders normally do. I was two dips in when I realized it was for sure not the right color. I wasn't going to ask the tech to redo them although I should have. This was after she filed my nails so aggressively that I have small burns under most of my nails. I would unintentionally jerk when she did it because it was painful, and she would seem to not care and continue to file my nails very aggressively. I'm also not sure how she didn't notice the difference in colors. I asked for a sparkly lilac/lavender and what I got is a creme plum color. Like I said I am giving Hot Nails a 3 because I have had many positive experiences there over the years, but last night was definitely a 0-1 star experience. read more

Walked in for a fill-in on acrylic nails. Lady told me they were very busy at the moment and I could wait or put my number down and they would call within an hour. There is a Starbucks nearby, so I put my number down and left. she called about a half hour later to tell me they were about ready for me. She did a great job with the fill in. I had a couple nails that had broke, she fixed those to make them all uniform. Nice job. Clean and licensed. read more

The first time I went, a month and a half ago, my nails were buffed, manicured, and looked very nice. I went back 2 weeks later and decided to get a French manicure on my actual nails. That's when my experience started to change. My nails were not filed on the corners and would snag. Bubbles left in my gel polish and bits of cotton. The pinky nail on my left hand's polish was thick and bubbled at the tip. The nails lacked symmetry. I left very disappointed. I thought maybe I could go back and just get the polish off with the nails manicured as well as buffed again. They looked so nice the FIRST time when John did them. I went back today. I was hoping John would be available unfortunately Brian worked on my nails. My nails are scored with deep lines in them. He told me he couldn't buff my nails but could apply a top coat. I was asked to pay before the polish was applied. He applied the polish and I was told to go before they were dried. Needless to say they looked awful. I called told them the issue. I was told to return. I was sitting in the waiting room chair when Brian came over with nail polish remover, a cotton ball, base coat, and top coat. He stripped the polish with the cotton ball, painted them, right there in the waiting area, then put me under the dryer. There I sat with bits of cotton ball stuck in my polish, forgotten. I had to ask another employee if I could go. She checked my nails and said yes. I wanted to cry. I spent $24 on my nails. I have bits of cotton ball stuck to my nails, polish around my nails, dry skin around my nail beds, and wishing I never went back. I hope this review is helpful. read more

However, the last three times I've gotten my fills, (the lady who runs the place, the guy with the glasses, and another lady) they have injured me so severely that I will not be ever going even near this place. This was the first and last time I will ever visit Hot Nails. My score for Hot Nails would be a zero. When we started to leave Hot Nails, my daughter noticed wet gel polish oozing from underneath her fingernails. We went back in and told the lady at the front desk and also showed her that there was a corner of my daughter's nail that had no polish whatsoever on it and she had told the man at Chair 9 that there was no polish on it. He said she didn't need it because fingernails bend. Three of us went to have our nails done on April 19th and by midnight my daughter's nails had already bubbled up and they were peeling. We went back on April 20th, the very next day, and they would only repair one fingernail. The man at Chair 9 that did her nails the night before was the one they had repair her fingernail and he told her it was her fault because she took a hot shower. She has had her fingernails painted with gel polish hundreds of times and she has showered every day and from the other nail salons the polish has lasted anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks. Not less than 24 hours. Also when we went back the lady at the front, the guy at Chair 9, and an old man with glasses were very, very rude and basically told her it was her fault that she chose an old nail polish. If they know their nail polish is old then wouldn't you think they would be smart enough to buy new gel polish and throw out the old? read more
