I loved this salon and definitely will be going back! Lauren cut my hair to the perfect length and styled it so nicely! Very happy with a nice, clean, pretty cut!

Although I returned for a complimentary correction the following day and spent several hours at the salon, the outcome remained unacceptable. I requested a refund due to misrepresentation and unsatisfactory results. The salon refused, citing a strict "no refunds" policy, even though the service did not match what had been represented to me beforehand. I have time-stamped photos and video taken at and immediately after my appointment documenting the condition of my hair. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before booking. If you value clear communication, accountability, and results that match what is promised, I would advise proceeding with caution.

Extremely disappointing experience, especially considering the owner herself performed the service…read more I paid over $300 for a partial highlight and left with hair that was visibly stripey, poorly blended at the root, uneven in tone, and much darker/brassier than requested. There were yellow and greenish sections, muddy areas, and an overall unfinished result. This looked nothing like the seamless neutral blonde I asked for or what I have consistently received from many other stylists. I contacted the salon promptly within the timeframe listed under their Service Guarantee. Instead of taking accountability or offering a reasonable resolution, Ashley insisted no refund would be given under any circumstances and stated that the website reflects this policy. However, the website does not state no refunds. It states that they stand behind a guarantee to make concerns right within 5 days. She said the most she would do for me to "make it right" is put another gloss over it. A gloss does not correct poor blending, stripey foil placement, or hair that did not lift properly. Those are service execution issues, not minor toning issues. What is most concerning is that this response came from the owner. When the owner is unwilling to acknowledge an obviously poor result or stand behind premium-priced work, it says a lot about the business. For over $300, I expected professionalism, skill, and customer care. I received none of those.

I do not recommend this salon…read more Melissa at CHS was very nice at first. I'm a redhead, and I know it can be complicated. She and the owner took an hour to mix the base color. Red flag. Why is the owner involved? Why is this taking so long? I've never had a colorist take an hour to mix my color. At one point the owner was pointing out different colors and suggested that we go with one color that was fairly dark red. I'm wondering if they need a colorist course. Getting nervous. I pointed to two other colors that were lighter and said I do not like this color and if I leave with my hair this color I'll be very disappointed. Well, two hours later, sure enough the base color was this reddish brown color that I had pointed out that I do not want. I told them, it looks very dark. Then they took pictures of the highlights on top of my head in bright sunlight to show me how light. They only took pics of my highlights. Why are they trying to prove it's ok? I said I'd look in my light at home and call. I called the salon back next day and asked for a redo. They said that they would try to fit me in and give me some copper highlights to pull through so it wouldn't seem so dark. I agreed. Meanwhile though, they can't seem to fit me in. It's been almost 3 weeks since the color problem. I find my hair very unattractive and don't want to wait any longer. At this point I'm upset. I paid $240.00 + tip for the color and a trim, blew my own hair dry and have ugly hair. I just texted. To please refund half - what she quoted for custom color base. 120.00 - and I'll have it fixed elsewhere. No response. I'll update this review if I get a response. I'm hoping to get the credit and move on. I texted the salon owner to call me. No response.

I went to the younger lady and she was so lovely and a wonderful person but absolute worst blow dry…read moreof my life. I thought that I got a good haircut, despite trying to get her to dry my roots first so that we wouldn't need a whole hour to dry my hair. I have fine delicate but slightly thick hair that she spent forever drying because she refused to dry my roots and kept saying how long it was taking and how damp my hair was (listen to your clients for gods sake). She had no strength, no tension in her hands and it felt like a child was playing with my hair while I was slowly getting cold and damp because my roots were still damp for a whole hour of fooling around. That's not even the worst part because I thought I had a decent haircut until I got home and moved my center part off center only a couple centimeters... I asked for my long grown out bangs to be trimmed to jaw/chin length and instead I got actual bangs (I didn't want bangs I just wanted some face framing from my natural very long grown out old bangs JUST UNDER MY JAW (no bangs in photo because I'm already embarrassed enough to be making this review. I just straightened my hair and split it half and half and I have started crying again at how there's several different lengths and my beautiful hair is butchered. Even though it's shiny and needed all that cut, the way it was butchered affects the way the hair strands lay. They offered to fix it but how could I ever trust anyone in that building with a sharp object again? Why would I lose even more length and force myself to have even more bangs and be even farther from what I want? No. I will cry until I dont feel like it anymore and I'm lucky that this is the worst haircut that I've ever had. Maybe she was distracted or maybe I talked her ear off. Nothing is pretty about this haircut except the fact that my hair is just a regular kind of pretty. It's been hacked and here's the picture to prove it. The kindness and hospitality was like any salon that wants to keep business, pretty good but nothing to write about.

I only got voicemail but I left a message saying I wanted to confirm my appointment for the afternoon and left my phone number. I arrive for my appointment to find that Kim no longer works there and then are told the tale that the power was out so they never got the message I left. What disgraceful, inconsiderate and inexcusable service on the part of both the management and Kim not to inform me of the cancelled appointment! I went to Envy Salon and met with Mary Nelson. I had called her about my hair telling her I had loved my previous Stylist who was great at cutting my hair but something had happened with the color and she turned my hair red - my hair is naturally blonde. So, I was afraid to go back due to my daughter's wedding coming up and I did not want anything to go wrong. I went for a consultation so she could see my hair color and texture which is fine thin hair. Mary assured me she could help me and was familiar with blonde hair. I choose to go get a hair cut first to see how she would cut my hair and after I left, she had cut the left side of my hair longer than the right. I immediately called her and asked could I come back for her to fix it and she seemed aggravated and said NO - she made me wait 2 days to get it fixed. That was upsetting. Then about 7 days before my daughter's wedding I went for a trim, partial highlight, gloss, shampoo and style. Everything seemed fine - I liked the color and felt good when I left - except I was shocked at how expensive it was as it was well over $250. I had not paid that much at any place I had ever been before in the Charleston area. But I did not ask for a discount - nor would I - I paid and left. It has been one week since my daughter's wedding making it a little over two weeks since my salon service. I noticed the highlights were fading fast and could see my roots. It looked as though she did not go all the way to the root line or however far you are supposed to go with the highlights. I had not noticed this before as I had other things on my mind with my daughter's wedding. I took a couple of pictures and in-boxed Mary on FB to ask her what could have happened and to tell her the time length had been short since I got the highlights and they were quite expensive so I was curious as to why they did not last??? It took her two days to get back to me and when she did - she immediately blamed me by saying I must be using cheap shampoo and box hair dye because she would never do that. I have never used either of those products before in my life - and if I had - I would have never went to see her and paid $250 for a salon service. I was shocked at her response and then she told me she was not a good fit for me and I should find another stylist - then she blocked me from responding. I was not planning to anyway as I clearly saw how rude she was by her remarks to me. I was upset and decided to post on FB about how unprofessional she had treated me because I am a service provider too and know that good quality service goes a long way. Even if you can not make it right - which I felt she could have - it is about being considerate and at least listening - not attacking your client. She saw my post and typed this terrible lie about how I was hinting for a discount and how I trashed my last stylist on the internet, how I missed my first appointment - which was only because I was sick and it slipped up on me - which I greatly apologized to her and she accepted, how I expected a discount, etc. I was so shocked at her behavior that I could not believe it. I did have someone from Envy Salon reach out to me asking if they could make it right - I declined their offer. I am by no means writing this review to hurt anyone's livelihood or anyone who works at Envy Salon. I am only writing to share my experience with Mary Nelson. I am shocked at how she can treat customers this way and then blame them for her bad service. My experience with her was very disappointing.
