A gourmet hot dog café is a strange concept to me because, really, how different can a gourmet hot dog be from an everyday hot dog? I mean, it's always just going to be a hot dog in a bun, right? After visiting Hot Dog Style a couple of times, I'm still not convinced that this is untrue. However, gourmet or not, hot dogs are delicious. Hot Dog Style opened up a few months ago in the Brunswick Central complex, offering a menu of gourmet hot dogs with Italian, Mexican, and Caribbean influences to name a few. Their menu also includes wraps, arepas and grilled corn.
The hot dogs I've had there have been good and the prices are reasonable. There is not a whole lot you can do to a hot dog, but the small touches they add to theirs (such as crumbled potato chips over the top) give them that edge over your home made variety.
