I called hotbartenders.com to hire a bartender for my Halloween event that was on October 29, 2022. I was told a price after speaking to someone, then I completed the required booking forms, sent them back and booked. I was then contacted and told the prices had changed as it's a holiday weekend. I agreed to the new pricing (even though it was very steep) and waited for the information of the bartenders they had in mind for my event. Two days after I made the booking I was contacted to be told that no one was available. I called and told them I was unhappy with this service as we are now just days away from my event and that it will be hard for me to find someone else at such short notice. I was called back and told they had found someone and sent me details of the barman for my approval, I approved with their selection. However, 2 days before the event I received an email advising me me that the guy I had booked had now booked another job. They asked if I would be ok with them sending someone else. I had no choice at this point as the party was in a day or so! So yes I agreed! Another guy showed up, he was ok but you wouldn't say he was "HOT"! He did his job well (so well that he even went home with one of the guys who was a guest) Not very professional would you say! However I gave him a $200.00 tip, plus all the tips he made throughout the night (which was very substantial) I was also charged over $650.00 by hotbartenders.com for their services. So in a nutshell if you want the fear of not getting the barman that you booked, prices changing in-between your booking, have them cancel the day before, then send you your average everyday looking barman, who does their job well but makes out with a guest, leaves with them and it costs you just short of $1000.00 for 7 hours, then this is the service for you! This review may be sort of an unusual perspective, but I've been on both sides of this company. I've bartended for Hot Bartenders, and have attended events staffed by Hot Bartenders. It is hands down the best bartending staffing company in LA. Let me tell you about my perspective working for Hot Bartenders. David, the owner, gets excellent clients who treat bartenders well. The jobs usually have the lowest workloads, and they pay the most. The best part is that David understand that servers and bartenders work because they need money now, not in a month, and he goes above and beyond to pay fast. Very fast. I'm talking within 7 days getting money deposited into your account. The other side of it is that I've been to several parties staffed by Hot Bartenders. I've never hired a bartender for an event before so I had several questions before committing. This company wasn't the first I called but they were the first to promptly answer their phone call, answer all of my questions, no pressure me into anything, send me a shopping list and give me advice on signature drinks to make. They also have an interesting Youtube channel that has instruction drink making videos. The Bartender was great and a huge hit with the ladies =). Hired HotBartenders for a few events. They made it super fast and painless to book. The rentals were as advertised and the guests really enjoyed the light up bar. The staff were incredibly helpful as I needed to move the bar inside due to weather change. I originally contacted Hot Bartenders to hire...well, bartenders for our company holiday party last December and was pleasantly surprised to find out that they offered so much more in the way of event planning and execution. I worked with David Waddleton and I can't say enough good things about the incredible service that he provided from the first time I contacted him to the conclusion of our event. David was very responsive and very patient with my multiple questions and emails leading up to the party and he was onsite the entire day of the event (12+ hours) to make sure everything ran smoothly. He even helped me set up chairs that were provided by another vendor (and there were a lot of them)! Just a great guy to work with and a good person in general. We ended up using Hot Bartenders to provide: A full bar for 6-hours, which included a cool 6' bar with LED lights and 2 bartenders (although the company provided extra bar staff, which was great), a fire performer, a Magic Castle magician, a bouncy house (w/basketballs), a mechanical bull (w/operator), Ice & ice storage, and a great stage for our entertainment. We also hired them to provide a balloon artist and face painter for a family-friendly event the next day and the feedback I received was that the artists were very detail-oriented, friendly, and patient. They even knew how to make Skye and Rubble (Paw Patrol) and that impressed everyone. read more
