I was able to get pricing really quickly after reaching out and I understood everything that I was getting. Once things were confirmed our bartender, Bianca, reached out and let me know of everything I needed to buy for the drinks on our menu. She communicated great and it was easy to get the things on her list. Bianca showed up on time, was very professional and got along great with everyone at the party. 100% recommend her, she also made very delicious drinks. I think the communication in between paying the deposit and having Bianca reach out to me directly could be improved, but other than that 5 stars for sure! read more

I worked as the wedding coordinator for a couple getting married on 7/4/25, and Barspirit was one of the vendors they had booked through GigSalad. Unfortunately, our experience with the company was frustrating from the start. They were unresponsive to calls and emails for weeks leading up to the wedding, and only replied to the client one week before the big day--finally letting her know that a "lead server" would be in contact soon. After resending all of the wedding day details and parking instructions, we still hadn't heard from the lead server. Another follow-up email was sent, but it wasn't until (today) two days before the wedding that Barspirit responded again--this time to cancel, citing that all four of their scheduled servers had food poisoning. While they did offer to issue a full refund and referred the client Instawork for last-minute staffing, the situation felt careless and incredibly unprofessional. Things happen, but it's the lack of contingency planning and the poor communication that made this experience unacceptable. None of our calls were answered, and the attitude around the cancellation felt nonchalant at best. A wedding is not the kind of event where you can afford to disappear on clients, especially so close to the event. Barspirit, please do better. read more

Halloween Heaven. We had our 2nd annual Halloween bash and instead of catering the event, we thought it would be more fun to have a bartending service with specialty cocktails and it was a huge hit. Serena and I went back and forth quite a bit to establish the specialty cocktails and I threw some left field ideas at her that worked beautifully. I found dry ice stirrers and showed them how to use them right before the party. Also, Pop Rocks got integrated into some of the drinks. She sent me a list of ingredients I'd need and we are off to the races. Having said that, we had a lot of extra unopened bottles, but those were easily returned. Joshua had been helping us planning the alcohol portion of our wedding since 2019, it's been 2.5 years of planning leading up to a perfect night! Joshua is very professional when it comes to his recommendations, service, organization. I trusted him with all the service he had recommended, and don't feel that I was sold for more than what I needed. Along with bartending, his team provided us bar consultation that helped us narrow down our signature drinks to showcase during the wedding, along with a shopping list of what's needed for his staff. NOTE - this means you can just recruit his team's support and still do all the alcohol shopping if you choose to. On the day of the wedding, we had 2 of his staff bartend for a 160 people wedding. My experience with Barspirit was a frustrating and stressful one. I contacted them for a party I am throwing. Their reviews are generally great so I was excited about the prospect. All communication was done through Yelp or by email. Their responses usually took a full day. I had lots of questions. They offered the option of giving them a call in one of their messages so I called. They don't answer their phone and I got trapped in their nightmarish phone system without any answers. I told them I was trying to contact them via phone and after a while they got back to me addressing some of my requests but they didn't address the fact that I was trying to reach them by phone. I was starting to get concerned i contacted them again with the slightest time change request and asked if I would ever be able to talk to anyone on the phone regarding planning the event. A full business day went by and no answer. Planning a party is very stressful and Barspirit was not reassuring, kind or really very human. It almost seemed like I was dealing with a bot. It was really adding to my stress. I decided to unreserve my event with them. They didn't even acknowledge this! It totally tracks with their lack of communication during the whole process. I should have been smarter and done more research. My experience with BarSpirit has been extremely frustrating - if you are expecting easy communication and transparency do not book. I found BarSpirit on thumbtack, looking for wedding bartenders. They responded to my inquiry with basic info, I followed up with questions but never got a response. I then got a text from their 'customer service manager - Petra' asking if I had any questions. I called the number on the website but it always went to their answering message, which just redirects to the website. Nobody ever called back or responded to my questions besides texts encouraging me to book now to secure the discount quote price and the date for the event. We booked & paid the deposit on 10/23 (our wedding is in Feb) hoping to receive more communication once we paid, but unfortunately that didn't happen. We then also realized shortly that Petra was a BOT and should've waited to receive communications from a REAL person prior to booking. At several points, I requested a call with them to discuss the event plans. Each time they insisted on keeping communication on email "to keep track of details". Our experience wouldn't have been as terrible if they had responded to emails in a timely way or had been transparent about their customer service BOT and offered an alternate point of contact. Between 10/26 and 11/15, I sent 4 emails and didn't get a single response or text at that point, but still CONTINUED TO RECEIVE THEIR PROMO LETTERS. I finally get an email on 11/15 - customer service bot responds to "Sophie". Instead of responding to any of our previous emails, the Bot gave us something completely different (we filled the info sheet with our 3 signature cocktails and instead the AI combined all the ingredients we sent and made 2 different cocktails that weren't even close to our signature drinks) and says she will send us an ingredient shopping list. 11/17 - I emailed to ask again for a phone call/meeting to discuss event details with a real person to no response. 12/7 - Since we kept getting ghosted & still hadn't received the shopping list, I emailed to cancel and receive our deposit payment back. I understand businesses have non-refundable deposits but in this case, we had felt that none of the services that they had promised had been fulfilled or communicated properly whatsoever. We still received no answer for several days. They finally responded to my follow-up email on 12/11 with the BOT issuing a very basic apology initially with Joshua following up shortly after (12/12) without acknowledging the gap in communication between us, the customer, and a real human being. We've exchanged emails with Barspirit CEO Joshua later and have cancelled our booking but will not be receiving our deposit payment back. If you want a clear line of communication with an actual customer service person and be able to plan your event's good times in a timely manner, then save yourself stress and $$$ and look somewhere else. We've had lots of family/friends parties at our house over the years but we are usually running around and relying on the graciousness of friends and family to plan, set up, purchase, bring, mix, serve, and clean up. Part of the fun of getting together. This was a more formal fundraising event and we thought we needed to step it up a bit and show a lot more respect and appreciation for our guests . . . without any of their help. BARSPIRIT WAS TERRIFIC! Contacted and contracted with them 4 days before the event . . . when we realized we were too busy and too stretched to do this on our own! All online. All instantaneous. Talked with the bartender in charge the next day. She calmed me down. Paid for the purchasing service so I did not have to worry about drinks at all. They arrived an hour ahead of the event. Set up. Suggested excellent changes in our approach. They were absolutely right about what we needed for a morning brunch (glad I relied on their recommendations and purchases). We adjusted the time to allow for continued service. They served food and drinks. They cleaned up. The bartender and servers had never worked together before but they were all extremely efficient, friendly, professional, adaptive, calm, creative, and just amazing! We had to leave for another event shortly after ours ended but it was not a problem because the clean up was all done. I cannot thank Barspirit and Linda, Angie, and Edmund enough!
