We were walking around randomly on our first day in Pisa and were miserably hungry. We just so…read morehappened to be walking by Le Mura so we went inside. We grabbed a table, but quickly learned you order at the counter. The daily specials were in Italian so we didn't understand fully, but the woman at the counter spoke English so she helped us out.
What we ordered: I got the Romana pizza for one. The portion was huge! Definitely worth it for the money. I honestly thought this pizza was too salty, but to be fair it has anchovies, which I know are salty so that's my fault. The crust of the pizza was kind of underwhelming.
We have no idea what it was, but the pasta my mom had was some of the best pasta I've ever eaten! It was a white sauce and had onions, walnuts, and red lettuce. It was amazing! I wish I knew the name.
Final thoughts: skip the pizza, order the pasta.
