While one should definitely try the Alsatian dish Flammekueche (or tarte flambée, a sort of pizza base with crème fraîche/fromage blanc , onions and bacon, which you share amongst the table), there is also a range of other regional meat dishes to choose from. Veggies fare well with the Gratinée, on which melted cheese replaces the bacon. As a starter, I would recommend the crudités, a selection of coleslaws and pickles, which is very popular in this part of France. And for dessert, choose the yummy sweet Flammekueche with apples and calvados. Prices are very reasonable and service is efficient and friendly.

The location is right on the Rhine, but is a little difficult to access as it seems it is across from a ferry. We arrived late on a Thursday night, and we were the only patrons. The staff did not speak English, so we had an amazing time translating our desires. We ordered a Pizza appetizer to share and authentic French onion soup to start. The soup was piping hot and came with an abundance of sweet onions and bread with cheese. Two colleagues ordered the fish special which was smothered in a French sauce (butter) and veggies. I ordered the veal schnitzel which was an enormous quantity. For dessert, we had the creme brullet Ave two flambe dishes that were lit on fire and provided an amazing ambiance.
