We stayed at a lot of hotels during our honeymoon, and this one had by far the best architecture. The view from our room was terrific, and we loved the stained glass window in our room. Probably the best food we ate our honeymoon. Breakfast was outstanding! Really delicious selection. And have a drink of chartreuse at their bar! Overall, a truly remarkable hotel and lifetime experience. I hope I will get to stay here again.

Vincent and Fabrizio were incredible hosts, making us feel so welcome and sharing their extensive knowledge of the area. We don't speak French very well and so they kindly spoke with us in English. They helped us with dinner recommendations and reservations in Beaune each night that were fantastic. The property was absolutely beautiful with amazing views that we enjoyed while eating the delicious breakfast provided each morning on the terrace. Our room was wonderful - very beautiful, spacious, and clean. We did the all-inclusive stay with two days of wine tours, which was the perfect way to spend our time in Burgundy. Vincent was just the best tour guide and we had a blast hanging out with him for two days. He showed us around many different areas of Burgundy while teaching us about the history of the land and the wine, and also brought us to wonderful wine tastings and lunches throughout the area. We enjoyed a delicious jam tasting and we even did a chocolate tasting alongside a wine that we had all enjoyed from one of the tastings! After our stay in Burgundy we were headed south to Antibes for a few days, and Vincent gave us one of his bottles of wine to share once we got there. The whole experience was really special and something we'll never forget.

Boy, was it the best sleep I had on that tour! It's a completely charming hotel located right next to our railstop, and it was really the perfect place to stay in such a quaint town. I absolutely enjoyed our time here, and the staff were so friendly and helpful during the entire stay. (One thing to note is that like many European accommodations, they do not offer a lift, so if you have heavy bags, it would be best to request a room situated close to the ground level.) They conveniently offer wifi for their guests (works best in the lobby area) and if you're coming in and out after hours, you can just go through their back door accessible through a pinpad. We always left the hotel earlier than when their restaurant/bar opened up, so I'm not sure how the food is there, but I imagine its good. It's only a 10-15 walk towards the main part of town, so if you're stopping in Beaune, this is the place to stay. It's beautiful out here, and seriously, really comfy beds!

Try to get the rooms on the opposite side of from the train station if you like to sleep with the window open. Breakfasts are amazing, with way too much food including amazing pastries and of course the traditional options of yogurt, cheese, ham, etc. but even here there are about 3-5 options of amazing cheeses and various local delicacies. If there is anything you want, you'll likely find that it shows up the next day due to your diligent and gracious hostess who is delightful and aims to please. I would unquestionably stay here again, though it helps a lot that my wife understands quite a bit of French and speaks a bit - I would have personally felt a bit awkward staying here myself given that I really don't speak any French (typically understand a few words and try to piece it together). For the slightly adventurous traveler, who ideally speaks a bit of French, Chez les Fatien may be the best lodging in Beaune as far as I can tell. Bravo!
