I gave birth in this hospital this year in March. Very sad and disapointing experience! :(…read more I was in one of the labour rooms (Kreissaal) on my own, with strong contraction pains. No widwife, nurse or doctor to assist me. They forced me to stay laying on a bed doing CTG without doing any movement! I pressed the button (took perhaps 10m until some nurse came) i told her that i couldn't manage anymore ....i just needed to move!! But the nurse just asked me in a cold and arrogant way: "what can't you manage?" I couldn't manage to be on my own anymore so i asked a nurse to call my husband (this was around at 2am). When my husband finally came he called for some assistance. And only then FINALLY came a midwife. And she said finally that i can move if i wanted. I wanted a ball to sit on (those big balls women use to relax during birth) and she simply said that it was ALL ocuppied! :( I had to wait perhaps an hour until one was available. The birth was then complicated (the baby didn't have enough oxygen) they sent my husband out of the room. In the end everything went ok. But they didn't give us any explanation why my husband couldn't stay with me in the room. We also wanted to donate the umbilical cord (to help other people cure some illness) but the midwife just said that they will burn it! ... After birth i had NO rest. Doctors and nurses kept coming in the room every hour to ask me questions and check-ups. All i wanted was at least 1 hour sleep. In the end i didn't manage to sleep for 4 nights since birth! I was completly exausted! The food was also nothing special. Just Hospital food. I was still much exausted and weak from birth and i just felt i didn't have the strengh to walk to the canteen. So i called a nurse if she could bring me breakfast in bed. But she refused to bring anything. She just said i should walk. I was tired and my baby was crrying. Fortunatly i had a nice roommate who offered to take care of my baby while i went to the canteen to eat breakfast. If i ever have a 2nd baby i won't come back to this hospital for sure!
