Been there once, probably won't be back. There were 2 ladies in the store having a private conversation. I'm not sure if just one, or both worked in the store, but neither acknowledged my presence or offered any kind of assistance- were very rude. Me & my daughters were there buying boots & few other things. We like to take our time on big purchase. One of my girls over heard the lady's that work there that we are taking to long & bickering about us. Well let me tell you the customer is always right. My son went in to buy me a birthday gift; a horse measuring stick. As he is in university, he doesn't have a lot of money. I had called ahead, as I was concerned that I had underestimated how much it cost. Later, he called to confirm whether they had one in stock. The lady was "bothered" that there were 2 phone calls regarding this item from the same caller I.D. I find that absurd, because this store is never busy! When he went to purchase the item, the sales clerk was extremely rude. Not being a horse person, he asked if it measured in hands...they said no, it measures in inches with a sneery and condescending tone. He bought the stick, but we will NEVER be back. Poor service since they moved to the location on 105. The staff at 1488/i45were more helpful and attentive.

I'm not writing a review about the merchandise but the staff. The staff here is horrible!!!!! To say the least. You think someone in the retail business would be nicer if you are about to buy something. To start off with I never look at reviews for anything unless I'm getting a service, but they popped up when I googled where this location was at. There were not many reviews but every single review said the same thing about how horrible the staff was but I ignored it because why would I need the staff to be nice I'm buying tack and I know what I want. Let me start off by saying the moment I walk through the door the woman at the desk in the front was on her cell phone, she kept it to her ear and she said in a very angry tone "CAN I HELP YOU FIND SOMETHING" I politely asked where the English riding breeches were and she responds with "WE DONT CARRY ENGLISH" in the same tone and then continues talking in her cell. I glanced over to the left and noticed there were some English saddles so I said "I see you have saddles, I'm gonna go look over there". I walked around for a bit as I googled the next closest tack shop with more English apparel. I found one in Tomball about 15 min away. As I was heading out I asked her if she knew where the next closest tack shop was that sold more English tack and she just smirked at me and shook her head and said no. So I continued with "Its about 15 minutes away and it's called Charlottes Saddlery" then I asked if she was the manager and she responds with "Yes" so I asked her if she ever looks at the reviews for the store and she shook her head and looked at me like I was a complete idiot. I kindly advised her that she should take a look and she says loudly "HA...pfffffff" as I walked out. I find this kind of behavior disgusting coming from a person in a management position. The owner should do something about her. I had two other friends stop by later that week as well and one said she chewed her out for making a bitchy remark about a question she asked. read more

This is a large tack (horse riding equipment) store. My experience there was mediocre. For my purposes, the stock was too cheaply made and too poor quality but there is a big selection. The primary brand is one that is low priced and that is almost the only choice for many items. If you need something in a hurry and can't wait to go somewhere with better quality or if you need a "throwaway' item, this store is great. I bought several very cheap bib halters for example. Based on my experience with tack, the information that the staff provided was not really accurate or complete enough. But some of it was OK and they were more or less pleasant. I would not recommend this store to an inexperienced horse owner. The selection is almost all Western. read more

Sheesh. Some people. This is a tack store not Macy's. If you are there for decent quality tack and have a reasonable working knowledge of horses you will find what you need. As for quality, I have had the same heavy blanket for 4+ years and it is still going strong. Same for reins, halters and headstalls. And the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. read more
