As a northerner stepping into a Southern-style spot, I have to agree with another Yelp reviewer…read moreabout the sweet tea. It's not that true Southern sweet tea you hear legends about -- the kind that practically hugs your soul and spikes your dentist's anxiety -- but honestly, it's not bad at all if you're trying to watch your sugar. Consider it "Midwest sweet." Polite. Respectable. Not trying to put you into a sugar coma. Now let's talk food. My kiddos ordered the popcorn chicken and mini dogs -- and as any parent knows, the highest culinary honor is the empty plate. They ate every last bite. From my 5-year-old, that's basically a Michelin star review. My husband had the BBQ burger. When asked for a detailed description, I received his usual top-tier food critique vocabulary: "It was good." I ordered the BBQ bacon chicken with tots. The tater tots deserve their own moment -- perfectly crisp, not oily, and seasoned just right. The chicken itself leaned a little on the dry side, but the BBQ sauce definitely stepped in and saved the day. Overall? I'd definitely stop here again -- especially over chain restaurant which seem to be the only other commonly options in the next town over. This place feels like the better pick when you want something satisfying without the big-chain blah.

Stopped by for lunch on the way home from Hot Springs. This is only the second time we've had a…read morechance to stop, and like the first time, the food and service were excellent. You have to try the potato babies appetizer. It's $5.50 as I post this and you get A LOT of potato wedges. The server brought 2 cups of ranch because there were two of us there. That's a very subtle and very nice touch to customer service. The food was excellent of courses, as were the desserts. T had the first scoop of banana pudding for the day and I had the chocolate fries pie with ice cream. I'm only a little upset we didn't purchase one of the brownies or a slice of pecan pie they had sitting on the bar. Both looked really, really good.

If it wasn't for the food, idk if I'd be back. Here on a Thursday at lunch. Empty parking lot, and I drive a Tesla so it was advertised to charge. An employee not driving an electric vehicle took up a spot- which can be frustrating if the entire parking lot has open spaces: Overall - servers are just rude. Just direct to the point, almost like you're an inconvenience. Additionally, two of them walked over to the pecan pie in the bar where I was sitting and grabbed one, laughed, went in the back and ate them. It felt like the employees were stealing it - Not 100a% sure but it felt weird. Then as they were in the back a line formed for to go orders and it felt like they were inconvenienced to ring up orders. Cash or card? Sides on bottom right. Yup whatcha want? No can't do that. It's an up charge. Cash or card! Hurry up (assumption). Maybe that's the culture so all good but perhaps a "hi how ya doing? What can I get ya?" I'll still be back but AI

Main thing I would steer clear from STAY AWAY FROM THE DESSERTS THEY HAVE WRAPPED Those rice crispy treats are friggin' terrible. Don't do it. But the subs are KILLER if you're a big fan of weed & shrooms in the restaurant this is definitely a chill hang out spot. My mom and I got it to go. Thank you guys!

First thing I noticed was how…read moreclean the restaurant was, and I was greeted immediately by the cashier, which always sets a good tone. This was my first time visiting a Cheba Hut, and I have to admit, walking into a restaurant that is completely marijuana-themed is different, but honestly kind of fun. The vibe is unique, laid back, and memorable without feeling sketchy or over-the-top. The cashier was on the quieter side, but she was extremely polite, respectful, and genuinely helpful while ordering. Customer service overall was solid. Now for the food and pricing, this is where things get a little mixed. My total came out to $21.38 for an 8-inch sandwich, a drink, and a Goo Ball. At that price point, I expected something close to one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Unfortunately, while the flavor delivered, the portion-to-price ratio absolutely did not. I tried the Goo Ball first: Krispies, peanut butter, cocoa, honey, butter, and marshmallows rolled into a ball. Honestly? This thing was $3.59 worth of disappointment. It was bland, underwhelming, and somehow managed to taste like almost nothing despite all those ingredients. Maybe this hits differently if you're stoned, but for me it just wasn't worth the money at all. 2/10 For the sandwich, I ordered the "5-0": Smoked ham, Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon, giardiniera peppers, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake, and house dressing. Food came out in about 9 minutes, which is pretty reasonable. Flavor-wise? The sandwich was actually really good. The meats and dressing worked well together, the bread was solid, and overall it tasted fresh and satisfying. I'd honestly give the flavor an 8/10. But the value? That's the problem. For a $12 sandwich, the portions felt skimpy: - 2 slices of pepperoni - 1 slice of bacon cut in half - 2 slices of salami - 1 slice of cheese - 1 tomato slice cut in half - maybe 1/8 of a pickle slice There was genuinely more lettuce than every other topping combined. It felt like a sandwich built to look full instead of actually being full. If this sandwich were priced around $8-9, I'd probably leave happy. But at $12+, I expected a much more generously stacked sub. Cheba Hut has a cool concept, clean restaurant, and tasty food, but the pricing versus portion size keeps this from being a place I'd regularly come back to. Great vibe, decent sandwich, disappointing value.
