Based on all the great reviews, we went to the food truck for lunch as we passed through on the way from Nashville to Little Rock. When we got there Byron told use that if we wanted to sit down he could take us to their new sit down restaurant. He hopped in his truck and we followed him to Hanks Place. What great customer service. I agree with other reviews that this is the best bbq. I also agree that you can smell the smoke before you see the restaurant. I had the rib plate and it was fantastic. The beans were great too. The surprise was the cold slaw. I was skeptical about apple in slaw but it was delicious. Unfortunately I don't get to this part often so I am not sure I will ever be back but I sure hope to. Great family and great food!!! read more

In a town of practically nothing lies an old RV trailer and smoker in downtown Brinkley, AR. Before you even see it, you can smell it from a mile away. Inside this trailer two women are preparing some UH-MAZING BBQ. The menu outside of the trailer lists jumbo pork, rib sandwich, and smoked sausage, but on the day we visited there was only jumbo pork. We placed our order from outside the trailer door, and the cooks got busy whipping up our sandwiches. The pulled pork sandwich is HUGE, loaded with pork, apple coleslaw, and a slightly vinegar BBQ sauce. The smoky pork is both melt-in-your-mouth and crispy from the bites of tender meat and chunks of burnt ends, and the sweet slaw gives you that additional crunch. It was by far one of the THE BEST pulled pork sandwiches of my life. Seriously, I can't even come up with one complaint about this BBQ masterpiece. Before heading out of town, we stopped here again for a to-go order to bring home for a family member, and the cooks were so flattered with our second appearance. I had to spend hours in the car salivating because of the intoxicating smell of smoke and sauce. I'm not kidding though: you'd be NUTS not to stop in downtown Brinkley for some BBQ from Baker's. Had a wonderful experience dining from the produce of Baker's barbecue in Brinkley Arkansas on route 70. This food truck on a corner lot makes southern style country barbecue the way it was intended to be made. It is a two handed sandwich chuck full of juicy pork meat, slaw, and slightly spicy slaw (mild). It is on the messy side, with some fat in it, but it is worth the gustatory sensation. Highly recommended for those seeking out southern food culture. read more

A very bad experience !!!! We got there placed our order ordered 2lbs of bbq , buns ,slab of ribs and slaw . Ok no manager on prims ..... Ok we sit in the lobby for almost 40 mins because they didn't know how to sell the ribs that they had ........ and no bbq bologna ready ... So we canceled the ribs , and the bologna sandwich's And got home with no Barbecue sauce to boot ...... One upset customer...... read more

Best barbecue in Arkansas, hands down. Don't stop anywhere else or you'll regret it. Get the spicy pulled pork and hang on-it's amazing! The smoker was going when we pulled up and you can taste what for real smoked pork tastes like right here. Sauce was a little sweet, a lotta spicy, with just a touch of cinnamon. We were driving from little rock to Memphis. Stopped here for lunch. Truck located on an empty gas station. Short menu. . Had jumbo pork sandwich Hot sauce. Very very tasty ..... Happened on this place while traveling to Virginia Beach for the 2018 Collie Club of America Specialty dog show. We had the pulled pork plate which was awesome. The baked beans are to die for. For dessert we had cheesecake which was delicious. Everything was wonderful. Felt like I was eating with family as everyone was so nice. Do not miss this gem in Brinkley! Definitely worth a detour! I live in Memphis, my husband is on a Memphis in May BBQ team, and I grew up regularly eating Big Bob Gibson's. This is by far THE BEST pulled pork I have ever tried in my life. Just the right amount of bark, the sauce is not too sweet and not too vinegary with some notes of black pepper, and the coleslaw is absolutely perfect (I think I saw some apples in it). He even toasts the bun on his flat top grill. Mr. Baker is extremely friendly and he even offered our dog a free sausage. Definitely knows what he's doing and was excited to show off what was cooking on his smoker. We were so impressed we have ordered a rack of ribs that we are picking up in a few days and I'm super excited to report back because I'm sure they will be just as good as the pork. read more

Good darn BBQ. Mr Baker is a good man and makes a really good pulled pork/slaw sandwich. Mine was spicy. He had me try the smoked hot link as well. Yup. I'm coming back. My family and I have eaten Baker's BBQ several times....hint...several times. We had an opportunity to eat at Hank's bbq. We were excited to see that the restaurant featured Baker's BBQ. We enjoyed eating and sharing conversation with people from other cities. We traveled from Memphis to Brinkley for the fabulous food and friendly atmosphere.
