I went here and the lady I think she was the owner was very friendly. She told me about the VW bus out front. Where she got it and some repairs she made. I found two wonderful Grateful Dead long sleeve shirts. Very good quality. It's been several years now since I bought these shirts. I'm constantly getting compliments on them from everyone from Grateful Dead fans to people just like the way the shirt looks They had a lot of other great shirts, posters, and good quality items I'll be coming back this weekend the beginning of November 2024. I hope to get another Grateful Dead shirt if they have ones that are different from the ones I bought. Definitely come in here. This place severely overprices their products. They appear nice and helpful but as soon as you bring a concern to their attention, they block you. I paid $120 for a $70 bong (found it on google). I messaged them the day after I bought it, while it was still in the packaging they put it in. They won't accept a return. Mind you their no return sign only mentions pipes, not bongs. Would never shop here again. And if you do, make sure you google what you're buying to ensure you're not getting scammed like I was. I wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

We were told to leave the store because we're blocking a fire exit. Actually it was our dog service dog that was blocking the fire exit. Jim Jones ,so he claims, the owner, for us to leave a mediately or he would call the police. I told him to go ahead and make my day. His coworker who was bigger than myself and the dog stepped in our way and told us to get out of the store right away. We were there to spend a couple hundred dollars, lots of business to them and I bring it to your attention that they discriminate against disabled people. I only do it all there we are with is a legitimate licensed service dog, so if you have a cane, glasses, hearing aids, or any other medical devices be careful you might be discriminated against. Hi Jim, just a little note for the public to know how rude you were on our first greeting and how shocked you were someone like you could be so angry and run a business. There were many people outside the store front who heard the commotion and saw firsthand how you treated a disabled person with a service dog working with them and how you kick them out of your store immediately as soon as they walked in. You tried to tell us that the law prohibits us to bring a dog inside. If you knew what the law was then you would understand it anyone who has any kind of a medical device including a service animal licensed carrying tags is a necessity for the customer. We are concerned and have notified the fire department to inspect your facility for you have a major concern about occupancy factors and safe routes for evacuation in case of fire. Secondly we have six witnesses to you discriminating against a disabled person. I have collected the names and filed a report. Do not and I repeat do not do business with this angry old man. There's plenty of marijuana providers all over, he is nothing but an angry person who hates dogs. Stumbled on this small shop when we made the trip up to Jim Thorpe to come to the Harry Potter themed coffee shop. We didn't go in many stores since we had our 2 small children with and they have zero patience for shopping, but we had to check it out. Horizons is a small shop with lots of Grateful Dead paraphernalia, tapestries, smoking items, incense and other hippie essentials. Really cool small store. When I saw the LGBTQ flag and the open light sign on I figured out to walk in and support the small locally- owned business. When I wanted to enter-in the door was locked/ hard to open and I thought the entrance door was the next one which was barely one feet a away. A women who I believe to be the owner came right out and rolled her eyes and yelled out very loud "this is my house door" this way is the entrance not the other door. She was extremelyyyyyy aggressive and rude. When she saw me the first time struggling to open the door she should have just opened it. I will not support her business despite I love supporting small business and I never wrote a bad review for small business , I hope the ownership will change so people can see a smile face in the store. The worst customer service ever! She really overacting too much and yelled when I was with my girl friend. It is not acceptable. Hope the business be out under her ownership extremely rude! Found this lovely little head shop while visiting the area. Has a wide variety of tye dye shirts and grateful dead merchandise and whatnot. Not a lot of pipes to choose from but it is good to know that this place is here in case I forget something on my next trip to the Poconos. read more
