I was actually planning to go to Anthracite Mercantile. On my way there I found myself in front of Claypoole's. I loved the owners and perusing the store. They were friendly and helpful. There is an abundance of merchandise but the store is not organized. I found the items to be extremely expensive. February is make an offer- but I am not comfortable with this- it would be insulting. I found a vintage glass rooster priced at 24$- I found the exact same item at Studio 895 for 4$. That's a great example of what I'm talking about. It's a fun place to look around- but I'm not likely to purchase anything there. I don't like when retail shops price something ridiculously high and then offer a "discount". Even with said discounts you'll be overpaying.

It's astounding how they can even support the electric bills on the low pricing. They have the typical thrift shop fare like linens, purses, kitchenware, nick nacks, clothes, shoes, belts, kids games and more. Like any store like this it's hit n miss. I found some vintage bracelets and free rosaries. They have an area of free religious charms, books, prayer cards and other miscellaneous items. I was worried because there was a lady hacking and coughing. I sure hope I don't end up sick. I am taking precautions with my propolis spray and sinus rinse. Fingers crossed
