If you are looking for a college home near the University of Denver (or any where else that Four…read moreStar manages), please try your best to stay away from Four Star. As a resident of 2 years at my Four Star rental property, I have experienced mediocre service throughout my time but nothing TOO atrocious (so for that I award 2 stars)...but nothing has been as bad as the experience my roommates and I have endured this last week and a half. ***Here is a list of major complaints that I urge you all to check out before even considering renting a home with Four Star (beginning July 7th, 2020 through the current date): - No notification of workers being on our property for extended periods of time (unidentified individuals with unmarked vehicles). As a house full of women, this is an extreme safety concern - Resident's car was asked to be moved, then blocked in and covered with sawdust from the trees that were removed. This was destruction of personal property - Portion of the fence that is facing the street was down for an entire weekend, exposing all of the residents' personal items in the backyard while residents were out of town, and now the entire fence is down leaving the entire yard exposed. - Emergency line was called multiple times regarding these issues with no solution - All of the sheds were destroyed on 7/14, but residents were not notified and still had personal items in the sheds (Pots, tools, benches, a small grill, and pool toys). - Personal items (tables are covered with tools, tarp is under a pile of wood, and tables/chairs have been used and dirtied) have been used by the workers without the residents' consent - Zero communication from Four Star via text, call, or email to prepare residents that workers will be on the property. This is a major safety concern. - Multiple emails with zero follow up - Multiple calls/messages with zero follow up - Residents were able to contact a Four Star rep on 7/13 regarding the emergency complaint (fence + AC), but no follow up has been given from Four Star in over 48 hours. - Resident was able to contact a Four Star Leasing Agent (Cody, he was lovely) on 7/13 regarding the fence, and he said it would be fixed on Monday or Tuesday. No follow up has been given since. As reliable, respectful, and responsible tenants, we expected and deserved better than this treatment! Cheers.

It looks like a hoarding situation. The amenities didn't work. She even bragged about the Starbucks, coffee and the heated amenities. 5 Stars! As a first-time homebuyer, I had so many questions,…read morebut working with Jill made the entire process go incredibly smoothly. She guided me through every step, offering expert advice and connecting me with all the right people--from lenders to inspectors. We toured several properties, and when my favorite home went off the market, I was disappointed. But Jill remembered how much I loved it and went above and beyond by reaching out to the selling agent to see if it was still available. It was--and thanks to her initiative and persistence, she arranged a private showing, and I was able to make it mine! Jill negotiated a price that I could afford, and she was truly my biggest supporter and cheerleader throughout the entire journey. I'm so grateful she remembered the home that checked all my boxes and made my dream home a reality. I'm now happily settled in my new home, and I owe it all to Jill. She made the home-buying experience not only easy but genuinely enjoyable--I can't recommend her highly enough! Thanks Jill, You made my dream of home ownership a reality, and I am so greatful!

Before finding her, I worked with another agent who was unable to sell the property for many months. Despite this, Jill was optimistic and quickly turned things around. She connected me with an excellent stager, personally went above and beyond to showcase how great the space could look, and even personally attended many showings. I am not sure what I would have done if I hadn't found Jill. She is a lifesaver, and I recommend her to everyone selling any type of home.

Kristin is EXTREMELY friendly and personable, but has difficulty trying to juggle too much at the…read moresame time. Helping renters find housing seems to be her very charitable priority, by asking for lower rents than other property managers in the area and giving renter applicants every benefit-of-the-doubt and leases to people with questionable credit and criminal backgrounds and shaky references. Great for struggling homeless tenants! But a nightmare for landlords / homeowners! I highly recommend that people read Yelp's "not recommended review" that can only be seen by scrolling down and clicking on the link for it. I totally agree with it! - especially about the difficulty communicating with this agency and their frequent practice of lying (when backed against the wall when they don't honor their agreements). I tried to work with this agency for 3 years, but have learned from my mistake and will never be back! I had a WAY worse "nightmarish tenant" than the one described in Greg B.'s 3/24/2022 review, but instead of thanking BCR for helping me through it, I blame them for causing it - with their very lax tenant screening process! The extreme financial property losses I have suffered from my BCR nightmare far outweigh the small rental income I ever received. Homeowners and landlords BEWARE!!!

Over several days, I looked at rental houses in Longmont. At one of them, I met Claire, from…read moreBoulder County Rentals, and she showed me a lovely, and very comfortable place that I loved. What was even better is the remarkable customer experience I had with Claire. Unlike most of the other showings where the conversation was hurried, cold and transactional, this one was warm, welcoming and actually enjoyable. Claire was gracious, very knowledgeable and thoughtful - even helping me consider what it would be like living in the house on a daily basis to make sure it would be a good fit for me. It was like meeting a new best friend - easy and friendly. Being an executive coach, I was intrigued and asked about her business. She talked about her owner partner, Kristin, how much they love their work helping good people find good homes. A day later, I went to their office and met Kristin. These two are special - smart, warm, engaging - and they know serving their customers exceptionally well is essential. They get it. Michael L.

So I've been living in a Four Star owned 4 bed/2 bath house for almost a year now. My main issue…read morewith Four Star thus far has been how they collect rent from the house. I don't think this is the case for every property they own, but at least for mine, rent is not split four ways and billed to four accounts, as you would imagine. Instead, Four Star posts the entire bill, and essentially tells the tenants "We don't care how it gets paid, but it will." In normal cases, this isn't a big issue. It becomes and issue when Four Star, as others have mentioned, nickels and dimes you with questionable charges. These charges always become difficult to resolve among a house of roommates who all think they are innocent, and thus exempt from paying for charges made to the house. It is due to these factors that I would normal give Four Star a very poor review, however there is one redeeming factor, and his name is Peter Chase. This man works very hard to resolve all the disputes within my house, and has become the only point of contact I need/want with Four Star. He is the sole reason I am giving Four Star three stars. Peter Chase himself deserves five stars because he, as an employee, is invaluable. IF you do business with Four Star and need to resolve your issues, 1) hope you have Peter 2) go to their office, and tell the secretaries you insist with speaking with Peter and no one else. This man will set you straight.

I emailed they don't give our phone numbers. I emailed him a dozen times. I should just post them here online. Not once did he email me back I can't imagine living there and having a problem. LACK of professionalism Lack of communication I've never experienced anything like it' I was told there was a no smoking community cigarette butts all over.. dog excrement .... The cigarette butts by the pool under the tables.. the tenants who live around the pool; I was shocked. I showed pictures here they look like hoarders.
