It really saddens me to write this review, as I really wanted to love this place due to the relationship I was building with Rebecca Loehrer.
Rebecca seems like she really cares for her patients, and puts in the time after hours with other co-workers to collaborate for the best solution. However, she slips in professionalism and perhaps experience... She referred to me as her "Steven's Johnson's girl" in one visit, which I found very unprofessional in a medical relationship and made me feel as though she was talking about my complicated medical journey with others - which was unsettling. I then had issues with prior auths not being submitted promptly. This caused me to almost run out of meds. When calling the office and trying to explain this, I was met with incredible rudeness from Kelly. (You'll all experience Kelly... She is all over the map with her attitude but generally gives off the vibe that she doesn't want to be there.) After telling Kelly "I'll just stop in" since she wouldn't let me talk to Rebecca and didn't seem to want to pass along the message to get my meds, I finally got my medication sorted out - but felt like a huge burden as a patient, which I didn't think was right.
Well then, in the same week, I am looking into medicine that Rebecca prescribed and it states in large letters "Do not take if you have asthma". I have asthma and had stated that on my new patient paperwork. I called the office and left a message for Rebecca. I get a call and voicemail from Rebecca later and was told to stop my medicine and that she had no idea about my asthma, that I had never told her... Again, I wrote it off to human error, maybe I didn't tell her and maybe she didn't go through the whole packet - it's a lot of information. However, this was the second slip up with meds, which had me doubting Rebecca's experience and overall knowledge.
Finally, after five months of seeing Rebecca, I am on a stable medication plan and moving forward - and she wants to stop my main medication, due to a side effect I've been mentioning for two-three months. Why now? Why go back to the beginning? Again, I work with the process because mental health is hard and it's a journey, but I am frustrated that it's been dragged out. Now I am feeling a little like a cash cow for this office and that the main intent is to just schedule more and more appointments, not find a solution.
Finally, I schedule a follow up with Rebecca for a week out. We're stopping a med and trying a new one, which I had to urge for, because I can't wait any longer to get my depression under control. With the Coronavirus scare, this appointment was over the phone. I called the office the day of my appointment to confirm, as the state has shut down all non-mandatory appointments. At noon, the day of my appointment, I am informed that it will be over the phone. Thank god I called to confirm the time, or I'd have had no idea and would've driven to their office!
My appointment comes around... but no phone call.
Well, another note - Rebecca is usually 5-10 minutes late to my appointments. So I wait... Finally, I call the office. I am being told that Rebecca has been calling me and texting me for our appointment, but I didn't answer. No. I didn't miss a single call. Kelly, rudely, reads my number back to me - It's incorrect. I have received phone calls and messages, and now it's incorrect? Now I'm concerned I will be billed for an appt I didn't even get. I finally get a call from Rebecca and she even admits she's pulled my number before and doesn't know how it's changed in the system.
Talk about administrative issues, one after another. Professionalism issues, one after another. Experience issues, one after another.
I'm finding a new mental health resource, as unfortunately - this one is a bust. Good luck if you go here!! Just make sure you're prepared to advocate for yourself and you know what's right and wrong in this industry, or they'll take you for a run and take your money, too! read more
