Giftcard issued to help with supplies.
    L. L.

We made the switch last year from public to Horizon Charter. They have been friendly and answered all my questions. The only thing that confused me this year is when we signed her up. We were told she would receive a $250 giftcard for supplies. We did not use it last year. We needed it this year. When she received it. It was for $50 it was explained to me that the teacher was in charge of ordering and picking the amount. Which was not originally shared with me. To start at $250 and then she gets $50 it is a little misleading. Either way still helped.

I'm Proud to Be With Horizon Charter Schools!

My son has thrived at Lincoln Montessori Community Co-op. We love the small class sizes and individualized instruction.

Another great year! Academically challenging, supportive environment, great teachers and nice,…read morewelcoming kids. The new leadership is outstanding! My college bound kids have been academically prepared for the rigors of Twelve Bridges High School and my oldest graduated from TBHS and got into all 3 of his top choices (UCBerkeley, UCLA and UCSD- for engineering). A solid academic foundation is key- and my kids have received that at Twelve Bridges Middle School.

So far, so good. We just started at the end of last year, so I don't have much to offer yet, but…read morecompared to Rocklin Academy Gateway, my daughter is much happier for many reasons. The big things that have been positive are how organized staff was and how supportive they were to getting us in. They were VERY proactive. They also were very responsive to my requests to speak about my son for next year's special ed. My 7th grader had no major issues while transitioning in the spring as a new student. We had to remove her from a toxic situation at Rocklin Academy Gateway (my 3rd kid removed from that school). The parking situation, while it's not monitored well (always a concern for middle schoolers and bullies) the routes have been ok. Someone did hit my car, but honestly that's very common at schools as parents just don't know how to be patient anymore and follow rules. Not good..but not as nightmarish as other schools like RAG and some bay area schools. The library is great and the facilities are much cleaner than the schools my kids went to including a new school in the bay area. The food is exceptional, but it would be nice for some reform to include on meat and dairy options considering our extreme climate situation and animal agriculture as well as kids with dairy allergies. For 2024 there will be a new principal and vice principal with a good reputation, so let's see if that improves anything. The biggest issue right now at the school is communication, or lack of communication and updating the website. They also removed girls softball which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. The school also doesn't have soccer. Their electives are great. I suggest you take a look at the website for more on that.
