99 Hops House is my go to place when spending some time at Argosy Casino. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Get the queso and chips for an appetizer. The queso cheese is thick and tasty and hot. I ordered the fish and chips which come with 4 planks of cod battered up well and fries and tartar sauce. Of course you've got a choice 99 beers and the service is attentive and very good. Ask for Mustafa as your server- he'll take good care of you!

We stopped in for a quick bite. We ordered the queso and chips. The queso came out in a huge bowl with plenty of chips. My fiancé ordered the western burger that came with two patties and bacon with an order of fries included. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup and a side salad. The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing! Our waitress was speedy and very polite even with a full house.

The beer is ice cold. There are multiple TVs to watch all kinds of sports. The food and drinks came out fast and with a smile! Excellent hamburgers and sides of fries or onion rings. Double burgers are full of beef and lots of fresh vegetable toppings. Just a wonderful place for burgers and beers! I would highly recommend!! We will certainly come back again. Thank Kendrah for the great service with a smile!

Had to show the sandwich and sauce before my son ate it all! I'm glad someone could enjoy it!

I like to get the Crispy Pork sandwich which I love! The only thing is you have to ask not to have the sauce which makes me sick removed! But no matter if I get it to go or stay and I ask to have it plain no sauce! Just lettuce, tomatoes and onion. I get the sauce which makes it inedible for me! But no matter what I say or do I get the sauce. Asking to see a manager is a joke! Penn has really lost its desire to give amazing customer service!

I tried out 99 HOPS while in Riverside MO and enjoyed my lunch. Ordered the Italian Hamburger and it was very good. Also paired it with the Boulevard Berry Noir Sour and loved it.

We were here on a Monday night so it wasn't crowded at all. It was about 8:30 when we got there and I didn't realize that they closed at 9. (I mistakenly thought since it was inside the casino, it would be open later.) The wait staff seemed pretty new and very unsure of what to do. My husband got a beer and I ordered an American Mule. The waitress comes back 5 minutes later to say that they don't have Tito's, would Absolut be ok and I said yes. 5 more minutes later, she comes back to say they have none of the ingredients for that drink so I order a diet coke. She says she'll take it off the bill. She is apologizing for everything and says she's stressed because she's planning a wedding and has a UTI (which is TMI IMO) and squats beside our booth is pain whenever she comes over. We both order the fish and chips. They come out relatively quick and they are fresh and hot and SO YUMMY! There was so much food that we probably could have shared. The waitress brings our check. The drink that I never got is still on it. We had to wait another 10 minutes to get a manager to remove it. She continued to talk incessantly. I realize that we came in 30 minutes before close and the food was great, I was just really put off by the actions of our waitress. I hope she feels better but maybe doesn't overshare with her tables from now on.

Absolutely horrible! We arrived at 11am and they rudely told us they re-open at 1130am. We waited until 1130am to eat and when we arrived again we saw a sign on the door that they weren't going to open until 12p. What a disgrace that they made us wait only to open later than they should. They should have told us right away that they weren't going to open until later so we could have found another place to eat before catching our flight. What a shame !

I was happily surprised by dinner at 99 Hops House. We actually went to the Argosy for the Lucky Taco, but it is closed, and we didn't know until we got there. We put our names on the waiting list and wandered around the casino. They told us it would be about 30 minutes, but it was actually more like an hour. We finally got seated (because we told them we would squish our 5 people into a booth). We ordered nachos for the table- they were delicious! We asked for plates to go with the nachos and they never came. We then had the shrimp and chorizo flatbread, which was also delicious! My favorite part was the serve yourself, charged by the ounce beer wall- I love trying different beers, and this was a great opportunity! If the service and wait time would have been better, I would have given 5 stars!

Came her for a few drinks and early dinner on labor day. Not super busy. Sat at bar. Tried one of their cinder block ciders since their made in North Kansas City. It was very flavorful. Ordered these bacon cheese burger. Huge thick patty and yummy toasted bun. My Bf got the chicken nachos. Everything tasted really good. Laid back environment. Not very expensive. Nachos were $13 burger was $12 and bartender was nice and attentive.

This foam was all the way to the top

All I get is foamy beers from the beer wall! The beer is warm and just not the same as another place! Just a waste of money for such a cool place with good staff!!

After a long flight from Minnesota, I was ready for a good meal. Stumbling past the casino on the way to town we decided it would be worth a shot! Boy did 99 Hops deliver a grand slam. I ordered the chicken fried chicken and to much delight it was much better than I was expecting! Moist and flavorful with not too much seasoning or grease. Highly recommend a meal here!

All hail the beer wall! And wasabi deviled eggs! A terrific place for someone like me - sampling a variety and trying new beers at the same time! For $8, I tried 4 different beers, but I also sampled my date's selection bringing the grand total to 9. I found the perfect one for my taste buds - Gose Gone Wild by Stillwater. Beware, it is tart! We also really liked the Founders' Porter. The descriptions are clearly listed for each beer. They have space for 28 choices which is switched out from time to time, but they were out of 2 when we were there. They will show you how to operate the wall. It is so easy! Also note: you should switch out glassware every time for sanitary reasons. The downside is that some of the beers are kinda expensive, but what do I know? The prices ranged from like $0.35/oz to over $0.70/oz. Beer wall! (Insert outburst of joy) You do have to get over the fact that it's located inside Argosy casino. Nothin' against casinos other than the smoke factor. I don't like going home smelling like an ashtray. With regards to food, my chicken sandwich was average (a bit dry), but they do have delicious flatbreads. Looking forward to coming back soon!

When I have out of towners visiting, I love taking them to Rochester for coffee and taking a walk in English Landing Park. It's the perfect Parkville morning. My husband loves their cold brew (and beers), I love their London Fogs. He gets their breakfast burrito, I get their protein balls when they have them. Their pastries, particularly their scones, are very delicious as well. The staff is usually kind and helpful, but can get stressed on weekend mornings which is totally understandable. Weekends bring a lot of families and small children. They can tend to take over the interior train car seating which can be tough. But generally we have no issue finding a seat for 2. My favorite is sitting outside in nice weather, especially on a nice evening for a little after dinner drink.

I stopped in for some coffee and a pastry, so this is not a review based on their beer or sandwiches. And I ate and drank in the venue to ensure I got a good feel for the vibe. It was a cool November afternoon when I came in and unfortunately, I didn't ever feel warm enough to take off my coat. One of my expectations for sitting in a coffee shop is that it has a cozy feel, but the sun shining in the south-facing windows and my coat were the primary sources of warmth for me. I'm also glad I was wearing some more substantial shoes than usual, otherwise my feet would've been cold too. I did decide to sit in the main building where you place your order, so I was not in one of the adjoining train cars. Women's Bathroom was clean and a single stall, so there's plenty privacy. I ordered a pourover coffee and it was presented beautifully and tasted nice. I know pourover cups do taste different than regular drip coffee, but they offer only limited coffees as pourover options, and one of those coffees is what they offered as their drip. The two pourover options available on this day weren't that different based on their flavor profiles as described on their bags, which was a bummer. I think doing pourovers should allow your patrons to have a wider selection if what is available via drip isn't to their liking. Maybe the local Parkville patrons only enjoy a particular style of coffee. ‍Unfortunately, their offerings weren't particularly enticing to me bc they were all the same. Don't get me wrong, it was good coffee, but I prefer lighter roasts with a more acidic profile to the standard medium roast with a nutty flavor. I'd recommend that all coffees be available for pourover options as I would hope there would be enough demand to grind through the rest of an open bag by offering it as a rotating drip option, but maybe the demand is not there. If not, at least make sure the options are different. I did look at their whole bean coffees for sale and do think I'll give their Westside a shot. I do appreciate that they put the roasting dates on the bags they have for sale in the shop so you know you can get something that is fresh. The Wildberry Poptart I ordered was delightful though! Sweet icing, buttery crust, and a tart filling that wasn't overpowering. If you like pastries, give this a try. Service staff were very friendly, but I do recommend that all baristas be familiar with flavor profiles of all the coffees on offer. The barista who helped me had not tried one of the pourover options, and we both realized how similar the coffees were as he read the flavor profile off the bags of coffee, "Chocolate, Molasses..." All in all, I'll not go out of my way to come back for coffee. But, I haven't tried their beers yet, so there is still hope for Rochester B&R to win me over with their brews. I'll update this review as soon as I give it a go.

They call themselves Game Time Tavern and Pizzeria. And since I had an appointment with my cardiologist today and that always makes me hungry. The pizza that I ordered is called the Game Time and that comes with house marinara, fresh Mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, beef, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms! The crust is a bit on the crunchy side, so it does not get soggy at all. And then when they put the sauce on and the cheese, they do not over sauce it or over cheese it. And what really stands out is the toppings. Everything was super fresh, so I would say, the pie gets more flavor from its toppings than the sauce or cheese. Although they are both there and they are both good and they do not over power the all the other flavors. Just look at those gorgeous pie picture! Well done Game Time Tavern and Pizzeria! So we loaded up and showed up one day around Noon. Ambiance was really cool. It's in the middle of some sort of progressive looking shanty-esque suburb. The kind of place that does drag queen bingo. I was right at home. Inside was college sport bar, but with a nice, huge board on the wall of all their beer selection. It Was quite expansive. Service was top notch, too. Nice server took care of us, made sure our glasses were never empty. The food came out at a good clips, and we got an unexpected bonus of free little beignet-like donuts with some delicious dipping sauces. As for food, we started off with a jumbo order of the Truffle Parmesan Hand-Cut Fries for the table. We got to choose two from their extensive list of aioli dipping sauces. Fries were good. Dusted with the perfect amounts of truffle and parmesan. And the sauces were my oh my. I recommend paying the upcharge to just try them all. I mentioned the time earlier, because we had no idea we were stumbling upon their brunch menu. Even more options to choose from! I got the Crispy Waffle Smash Burger (smashed hertzog beef patties, fried egg, smoked bacon, merkt's cheddar, caramelized onion, maple aioli, crispy buttermilk waffle). This thing was really nice. Perfect waffle, not too small, not too big, and no oily or anything obtrusive. A nice bun option. Eggs and bacon sometime get lost against giant burger patties, but with these smash patties, the extra accoutrements really stand out and make this burger really stand out in my mind. I also for the try the Smokestack Burger (smoked burnt ends, smoked gouda, whiskey bbq glaze, pickle relish, chipotle aioli & crispy jalapeño straws). Uhhh, as you can read, this thing was loaded with goodness. Fatty burger, smokey burnt ends, sweet boozy glaze, acidic pickles, and texture from that jalapeno. This was the perfect burger.
