I perused…read morethe internet (Yelp and other sites) for an extensive period because of a lifetime of negative experiences with a lot of shops. After my bout of searching, I eventually settled on Lakeview Auto. Upon entering the offices, I was greeted quite cheerfully by the employees! They were all extremely friendly, positive, and professional. As I was relaying the issues I was experiencing with the Jeep, my dog somehow escaped through an open window of my Jeep parked outside and without my knowledge, had followed me into the shop. The office personnel and the mechanics welcomed the "escapee" with open arms and rather than me having to return my dog back to the car, they allowed my dog to stay in the office for some extended petting sessions! The staff read me back my description of the issues with my Jeep, which they had dictated earlier. When they called me a few hours later to let me know the Jeep was repaired, I couldn't believe how quick they accomplished this! I always say, "it's more difficult to find a good auto mechanic than a good dentist". I rarely leave a review for any business, and when I do, it is only for two reasons: when the business was really terrible, or when the business is exceptional. Well here, the Fairview Auto Repair was EXCEPTIONAL! I shall be bringing my wife's Subaru....

I saved hundreds by not going to the dealership and who knows what mechanic I would have had there. I found this place because I have an aftermarket warranty and I took the time to read the fine print stating that I needed to get services done from an ASE certified mechanic. I am sure if I didn't read that and I needed to fix a problem, it would have been the excuse of the warranty company to deny any claims. I thought most repair places were ASE certified. After talking to several on the phone, I found out that was not the case. I did a quick google search and Lakeview automotive came up as one of the only service/repair places around with that designated certification and a blue label certification at that. I am not exactly sure what that means but I know for me, it was peace of mind. Knowing that the shop and mechanics have gone thru extensive training, have all the tools/devices they need, and continue to get training in all aspects of their business. This professionalism was demonstrated early on when I first called and spoke to Karen, asking all my questions. I also spoke to the shop manager Phill who took the time to put me at ease about bringing my car in vs going to the dealership. When I arrived for my appt, Karen greeted me with a warm hello and Phill came out to introduce himself. I was taken back to the service bay to look underneath my vehicle and met mechanic James who was also very nice and accommodating. I knew my car was in good hands with someone who actually cared about the work they performed, even if it was just an oil change. I would have said a "simple" oil change, but that's not the case w a Jaguar, it's a lot more involved. When the service was done, I received an email with a thorough inspection report with pictures and items that were completed and items that would need future attention. Not once did I feel any type of upsell. It is comforting to know that I am not going to be told something isn't true or need a service that I don't. Bravo, you guys are A++++ in my book and will get all my future car needs. Thank you Lakeview Automotive and all the staff working there. Keep up the good work. If you are looking for a place for your vehicle, you will be doing yourself a disservice by not contacting this business. Give them a chance, I think you will be impressed.
