Spacious and comfortable interior. Very different feel from the previous brewery.

I'm delighted Hopnonymous Brewing has finally opened in Normal Heights, taking over Little Miss Brewing's former space. With excellent beer, cool people, and a welcoming vibe, Hopnonymous has everything I want in a brewery. We came here for the soft opening which was full of fans, friends, and family. Remy the owner was there greeting everyone warmly, and it was a lively scene without being overly crowded or crazy. They did an excellent job of redoing the space and making it feel clean, bright, and inviting. They also fixed up and expanded the formerly decrepit back patio into a comfy space, complete with heat lamps and market lights. The brewery is now a place you can comfortably hang out with your dog, a book, or food from any of the nearby restaurants while having a beer. As an aside, I highly recommend Zia pizza and Thai Joint for great take out vegan options. Despite their moniker, Hopnonymous offers way more than super hoppy IPAs. I've had a delicious imperial stout, hazy IPA, Belgian ale, and more, and I'm looking forward to trying their fruited sours once the weather warms up. Welcome to the neighborhood, Hopnonymous! We're glad you're here.

Still saving the city from thirst since 2018 and now reviving a crafty tasting room in 2025. Neat. This Normal Heights/Adams Avenue spot was formerly a Little Miss location...RIP. Bummed I missed last Friday's opening to experience the supporting crowded scene. Stopped by the following Monday night and Hop's bar area is bustling with most barstools occupied. The back patio has propane heaters and more available seating. I'm curious to find out what pop-up kitchens or food trucks are planned to save hungry patrons Familiar variety of beers, like Two Amigos, the Dorsty Lion, and What You Need, with more options coming from their original Kearny Mesa brewery (which used to be Council Brewing...RIP). I had an opportunity to chat with some local patrons who appreciated the renovation improvements and upgrades. Cheers to Team Hopnonymous! Congratulations on launching a second location that is both pet and family friendly. Continued success while being involved with the community. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Festivus for the rest of us.

I came by Hopnonymous on a Saturday a few weeks after their opening. I ordered the Two Amigos as I just wanted a standard Mexican lager. I am not too much of a beer drinker. I spoke to Gavin for a few minutes. He was super cool and neighborly. He introduced himself immediately. I liked his openness. He informed me that their main brewery is located in Kearny Mesa off the 52. The other bartender working with him (I think his name was Loic - sorry if that is wrong or misspelled) was also very friendly and welcoming. I was surprised by how bright the inside was. Normally bars or taprooms are darker where you can hide and cannot see everyone, not Hopnonymous. You can see everyone. Inside there is a long concrete bar that can seat about ten people but can accommodate about twenty standing shoulder to shoulder. There are six tables that can seat four each. Two large televisions are mounted over the bar and in the interior corner to watch sports. The outside area is made up of nine tables for four with more area to stand around the patio. There are two heaters but bring your jacket or sweatshirt as it can get chilly. It was nice to see they allow dogs on a leash. There is no dedicated parking lot so you will need to fight the neighbors for street parking. I can see this place becoming like a Cheers where everyone knows your name.

I've been twice since Hopnonymous opened and enjoyed it. I'm glad they are open as it's nice to have a beverage spot again on the east end of Normal Heights. (I was a LMB regular prior to their demise.) The space is clean and well laid out and the staff are super friendly. They also did a great job with the back patio area including ample seating and heaters. There are also games available as well. Food is available to order for delivery from Brothers Mexican Food and Dragon Sushi across the street. (I've not tried it but it is available.) You can also bring in food as well.

Great beer, great people, great times. As a fan of the original location, I had been waiting a while for Hopnonymous to open in Normal Heights. It was worth the wait. Same great beers as always (I had The Dorsty Lion) but now in a cool tasting room in Normal Heights. They have made some nice renovations here (the previous brewery was a little rundown). The back patio is spacious and it has seating and heat lamps. A number of friendly dogs were hanging out. Maybe best of all, people here were cool. We talked to a few loyal patrons of the Kearny Mesa taproom. Of course, Remy and his crew were on hand, high-fiving all around. I am sure that my wife and I will be regulars. Cheers to Hopnonymous Brewing!

Always loved Hopnonymous and this me location didn't miss any marks. Same vibe. Smaller game options. Loved the smaller version of Landslide which made for a quicker higher risk game. The vibe there is always so welcoming. Brought someone new and he felt like family. Always proud to show someone Hopnonymous for the beers and vibe.

Inside of Hopnonymous II on a Tuesday night! Was hopping at 5:30pm! Great designs on their coasters! Felt very welcomed!

We love their second location in Normal Heights! Loic and Katey are great bartenders! Very attentive and friendly AND great beer! "What you need" and "Elephant in the Room" were ours and both were fresh and delicious! Also, Brothers Mexican Food will bring over your order and their burritos went great with the beers!

Great service. They have food available most nights. Solid beers. Definitely an upgrade from the previous bar.

I had to leave a review right away bc I was so impressed by this place. First of all, they are…read moreextremely dog friendly. The inside is gorgeous and there's a spot especially for dogs outside. Their outdoor seating with patio is beautiful! This place is absolutely divine! At this point, I dont really care about how the food tastes. Lol! Let's start off with the one problem i had with this place. The parking!!! It took me 20m to find parking and im not about to park my car on the street. I have precious dogs! Lol kidding. I just couldn't find any parking on the street or in the block! I suppose i came during lunch which is probably really busy. When I left, there were quite a few opened parking spots. This place is connected to an apartment complex surrounding retail stores. The leasing building is right next to Gravity Heights. I used to rent a 4k+ a month apartment in a retail area and let me tell you, its a hassle to find parking and not take a retail parking spot without having your complex email you everyday about your car potentially being towed lol! I understand this pain. Now that we are past that, let's get to why this place deserves 5 stars. The service is excellent! My server came around at the perfect times and they seem to really care if I enjoyed my meal! The stellar atmosphere with attentive service is enough for me! I got a gravity burger protein style which I dont think did the burger justice. I was going to eat with my husband later at a Vietnamese restaurant and I can only choose one carb for the day. My diabetic life is tough! Lol. I chose the Cesar salad to go with my burger. My burger was delicious bc of the caramelized onions. I didn't really taste a sauce in the burger but the excellent bacon with the much needed caramelized onions made the burger fantastic! The IPA hazy beer i had with my meal was also light and mellow. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and meal. My babies also enjoyed their burger! The weather was perfect today and it was a nice time and to think I was not going to eat here bc the parking definitely was a huge deterrent. Next time ill bring human company!

Air-headed and possibly racist hostess. We arrived at 4:45 today, and on our way to the bar, we…read morewere abruptly stopped by a rude blonde girl that looked like she was 13. She told us we could not walk into the bar while we counted 14 people walking past us. Apparently the entire place was reserved for the night, but it never got more than 2/3 full. Literally dozens of open tables the entire time, and we were there for 3 hours. Why? Why power trip when your restaurant has plenty of space to seat us? You let a group of 12 walk in front of us and they crowded the bar in right front of us, but you didn't say a word. 5 minutes before this, you told us that corporate didn't allow people to drink at the bar without a seat, but you allowed them to do as they pleased and you stopped our group? Was it because my friends were Asian? Or was it because we said we had children coming to join us? Even the bartender realized you were crazy and sat our group of 11. We spent over $1000, but apparently we weren't good enough for the hostess. I hope the owner reads this and fires that bimbo. I'm sure you have plenty of cameras and can talk to the rest of the employees to hear what happened. She was the only rude person we encountered. Food was amazing. The shrimp ceviche had a lot of flavor, a generous amount of shrimp, and the perfect amount of kick. The pepperoni pizza was epic and from the way the pepperonis were cupped, you could tell it was a really hot oven which is ideal. My kids loved the cheeseburgers, and I really enjoyed the chicken tacos. Every drink looks to be handcrafted, and I thought the margaritas were delicious. 5 stars if it wasn't for the hostess.
