If you want to go to a transparent dealership, Fitzgerald is the place to go. I had such an amazing…read moreexperience at this dealership--I honestly can't recommend them enough. After a terrible experience at Heritage in Bel Air where I was insulted and dealt with shady car salesmen, I was pretty on edge going into this process, but this team completely changed everything for me. MJ took care of me and ensured I had everything needed, he was very knowledgeable about the car and walked me through its features. Carley really helped solidify the deal, making everything feel fair, transparent, and straightforward. And Alex in finance made the final steps incredibly smooth--no surprises, no stress, just clear and efficient. This was hands down the easiest, most stress-free car buying experience I've ever had. The whole team was professional, honest, and actually enjoyable to work with (which says a lot when it comes to buying a car!). You can tell when you walk into a dealership the integrity of its staff and this place definitely values transparency and integrity! If you're debating where to go--skip the hassle of finding a good dealership and go here. You'll be in great hands

My experience with the service department this week did not go well. I began making calls for a 30K…read moreservice on my Miata beginning Monday around 10:00 a.m. The telephone tree seemed to be broken, because I had to punch the "2" key for service three different times before a human finally answered. I was immediately put on hold for 8.5 minutes then was disconnected. I called right back and went through the faulty telephone tree as before. This time instead of speaking to a person I was asked if I wanted a call back. I did. Two hours later, not having heard from the service department, I made another call. This again wound up with my being offered a call back. I again agreed and again received no call within a reasonable amount of time. A fourth call finally got me through to a service writer. An appointment was made for two days later at 8:15 a.m. I was told that the work would take 1.5-2.0 hours, so I elected to wait at the dealership for repairs. When I arrived for the appointment, I was told the wait would be a minimum of 3.5 hours. I called my wife to pick me up, disrupting both of our morning expectations. There's no excuse for that kind of stupidity. This service department doesn't appear to know what they're doing. When I finally retrieved the car, the bill was 150% more than what I was expecting. If I can find another Mazda dealer in the area, I doubt I'll be returning to Fitzgerald.

I used South River Auto Service for about seven to eight months as I was working in the Edgewater…read morearea. This auto service is by far the worst experience I've ever had. My last and final visit; I brought my car in because it was having transmission problems. I received a call from Dan (the owner) the following day, and he said "your car needs a transmission, good luck finding one." So being very concerned I said, "what should I do"? He went on to say "well there's something called the internet." Okay, what does that mean? "You're going to want to find a transmission for us to install. I have my best guy out looking for one; he found one in a junkyard, it's $900 and it's a crapshoot." So two weeks of searching and looking for a place with a solid transmission that would be compatible for my car, I did manage to find one and Dan from SRAS said they would be able to do the job. They installed it and when I picked up the car he said "it drives good and shifts good." So I paid just about $2,000 to South River Auto Service and was under the assumption everything was fixed. Approximately four months go by and the transmission that Daniel Eisel and mechanics installed was already destroyed. If SRAS had been honest and said we will not be able to complete this job; I recommend you take your car to a mechanic specializing in transmissions. Especially, after all the money I spent and what I got in return. (i.e. Essex/Glen Burnie transmissions offer a 1-year/ 12,000-mile warranty on rebuilt transmissions and a 3-year/ 100,000-mile warranty on remanufactured transmissions) You will overspend your hard earned money if you take your car to South River Auto Service. Oftentimes, your car will not be fixed properly and you will be left with many issues to come.
