I don't like talking about the attitude of the staff because any one who can work all day with that smell has to be a certain kind of person anyway. On my first visit, I put air fresheners and plug ins in my mothers room because I couldn't stand the smell. Walking to my mother's room, the first thing that I noticed was that more than half of the call lights on the rooms (including my mothers) were on, and remained on for the duration of my half hour visit. The residents look absolutely miserable. My mother was only in there for short term rehab, and I had to get her out of there! I wouldn't send my pet to that facility. The staff (most of them) are not friendly and just seemed uninterested in the care that they are providing. When you call, you have to go through several "floors' before you can speak to the practioners on the floor of your loved ones. For a few days, I was told that my mom's clothes were 'lost' in the laundry room. I started looking for them, and they were in the trash can in her room! When I explained it to the CNA, I was told that it wasn't a trash can, it was where they put dirty clothes. However, when I opened the can, it had trash in it! Along with my mom's soiled clothes that smelled SO BADLY!!! I could go on, but the bottom line is DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!!!

Absolutely the laziest staff I've delt with over 20 yrs in LTC…read more 1. Morning consist of many staff being late to work. 2. Next you have some eating their breakfast at the Nursing desk. 3. If someone does call off, you'll be able to hear staff complain most of the day. Then have the gall to inform you their short "today" and unable to get many patients out of the bed. 4. You'll hear a seasoned nurse say, "out loud" and proud "what they won't be doing to assist the staff. 5. Good Luck getting call bells answered in a timely manner. You would pee yourself or worse. I've watched someone come in turn off the light and not ask a thing. 5. Dragging full bags of linen or diapers and NOT closed up, smelling up the entire hall. 6. Curtains on windows sagging or missing hooks. Or the draw curtain between beds with food or god knows that what. 7. You will attempt to take your loved one to the room toilet and find dirty diapers or cloths hanging on the towel rack or in a corner. 8. Most residents are sitting around in hospital gowns or some with cloths so big and their pants aren't pulled up over their behind. 9. You will find patients sitting in the dining room for a couple of shifts and never moved or seen by someone from shift to shift. 10. If you're ever in the need to put a loved one in Rehab or LTC such as these, the only way to make sure your loved one is cared for is to be there daily. 11. Oddest thing is I've never seen mangmt. on the floors, rounding or a walk through. You'll find them in the conference room most of the day. Most floors don't have a supervisor. So, who's watching them actually do their jobs. 12. The Administrator! He'll tell you anything to appease you. And over time You'll get sick and tired of telling him what's what. Apparently, he's not on the flr doing a walk through from time to time to keep everyone on their toes. I feel so bad for many of the patients here, it is apparent they don't have someone coming to see them with any regularity. God Bless them and keep them. Having a loved one here was very troubling to say the least. I've heard that some think the LTS is over regulated. The thing is who's making sure they actually stay on top of all this drama? Really need realiable, caring, empathtic staff. You get a few here and there and in 3-6 months they will be gone. This requires better staffing levels and people actually doing their jobs. "The mice will play when the cats away" It has been said. The ONLY reason I leave 1 star because they don't have a negative rating system. If they haven't been sued it's around the corner.

There are many activities that I can choose to get involved with, and many external programs I can take advantage of such as trips to the orchestra, Broadway shows, spirit of Philadelphia, and a variety of museums. There are interesting internal entertainment for those days that I like to stay close by such as musicals, resident plays, and Wine Flight Wednesdays. We also celebrate holidays as a community, such as our annual Halloween party, New Years Party, Superbowl party, and more. The biggest reason I moved here was the direct train access to Philadelphia to continue my part-time work at one of local universities. In addition, Whole Foods is right next door which makes shopping convenient. There are a few other restaurants, a pharmacy, and clothing stores, too.

This is a really calm atmosphere, all the staff and caregivers are very friendly. Ever since my Aunt moved in, she is never alone unless she wants to be. She settled in quickly. I like the friendly environment, the nurses and administrative staff is very good with her. It is great to see her now engaging in activities to keep her active and doing things she likes. She loves the entertainment. The staff and caregivers are so great with her and are able to get her to take her medicine everyday. She loves the meals and loves being able to sit and eat with friends. Her room is very nice and because we were able to bring some of her own furniture, it feels like her old apartment. The Executive Director Lisa McDonough is the best at keeping me updated on her progress or any health concerns. She is the best. I highly recommend The Terrace at Chestnut Hill for anyone who needs assisted living.

The Executive Director was horrible and I filed numerous complaints against this facility about neglectful things that were observed (with proof). Overall, when visiting there wasn't much life to the facility or much participation with residents from family members...the last straw was when the makeshift closet fell and they blamed my aunt and her dementia. They bagged up her items and left them that way for over a week...check on your loved ones if you decide to place them here. Not at all what I expected...Several management and facility name changes in a short period of time says alot. This has to be the worst facility under Bridge Senior Living...
