They were concerned about what would become of the feral and stray cats that Adel Branch had been committed to supporting, those that had been neutered and returned to site with the promise of help with feeding and veterinary care should it be required. They were also concerned about the timid/feral strays that are often turned away by others due to the length of time it takes to build up their trust and turn them into friendly, homeable pets. Feral Cat Welfare does not have a shelter or main centre but relies on a network of fosterers who care for cats and kittens at their own homes until new homes can be found. They hope to raise enough funds over a period of time to create a permanent refuge for such cats so that they can be helped quickly and numbers do not increase. The volunteers of FCW love all cats, the friendly and the nervous, and tune in to every cat's individual needs. FCW will always have tame, friendly and affectionate cats to rehome and on their waiting list as well as timid and traumatized cats and kittens.

He is house trained and he has ended up pooing all over my house and spewing . I am not happy that i had to pay the fee for my dog to come home really poorly he is normally a lively dog he just seem like he has no energy and just wants to sleep. I think its a absolute and i do not feel like he has been looked after at all.!!!

If you love dogs, but can't keep one of your own or are looking for a new family dog then Manchester Dogs home definitely a place to consider. I'm in the first category, I live in a flat but love animals so recently joined the dogs home as a volunteer so I can walk the dogs when I'm free. Becoming a volunteer is easy, there is a section on their website called volunteers where you register. We were then invited to an informal day on-site where we were greeted by the friendly Julie who gave us an induction to becoming a volunteer and helping out at the home. Their approach is very relaxed and there is no obligation, you help out as much and as little as you can. There are a variety of things you can help with if dog walking isn't your thing either as they often need extra non-walking help at the home. Once you are registered you just sign in and then proceed to the kennels where the trained staff will hand you a dog on a lead. You can specify the size of dog as well, so if you're new to this, like we were, you can pick a small dog to begin or whatever dogs you're comfortable with. Walking the dogs is great, we had a little Jack Russell called Babs who was really happy to see us. Behind the dogs home is an open area full of grass, trails and paths to walk the dogs in. Little Babs obviously led the way... little tail wagging. The staff have always been really friendly and helpful with us, so if get involved today and visit the volunteer section on their website.

I just can't say no to a browse in a good charity shop, it's official. I've got issues with…read morespending, in that I'm usually far too swift to plastic, and just can't resist all the one off goods that I might discover! With that in mind, I sneaked a trip into the RSPCA of Cross Gates with the hope to discover some hidden treasure. Ridiculous, since I'd barely a penny to my good name. Goodness me! The shop window was utterly divine. I don't know whose handy work needs praising, but having worked in retail I can appreciate some great VM (visual marketing) when I see it! (Buzz works are creepy, I know, but hey - that's what it's called!) They had the most beautiful gold themed display with gorgeous material draped to make the base, grand hand bags and other vintage-looking accessories adorned upon the material and the most lovely shiny pair of gold pumps ever taking centre stage! I'd have checked the size but for fear of destroying the delightful arrangements. As well as all the lovely displays in the window, inside was too laid out really well, with all the bargains to behold. I found a Zara dress for £4 odd (which I resisted) and some Beswick collectables for merely £15! Get your bargain hunt on I say! All in all, a really lovely browse.
