I took my son to see the lake and while driving away from it I stumbled upon this pottery place. I didn't know what I was getting into but the adventurer in me pulled over to see what this place was all about. I walked up to this outdoor shop and there I found so many lovely handmade pieces that it took me a very long time to narrow it down on what I wanted to buy! Walking around this pottery shop was like stepping into another world in another time! The dusty outdoor floors. The pottery all laid out on wooden shelves. The handmade pieces all unique. The sun shining through the shelves. I just got lost in all of it! There's a small "shack" that you can walk into and view even more pieces of pottery. And what I discovered in there was something very surprising. An honor system! There wasn't anyone in there taking payment or manning the shop. It was all on an honor code. They had paper laid out on a desk where you can write down what items you bought and a cashless system to buy your items with Venmo etc. wow! I've never been to a place like this and I ended up buying 3 pieces. A strainer, honey pot and sourdough container. They now sit on my kitchen counter and go beautifully with my ocean decor theme. I haven't used any of them bc they are just too beautiful.;)
