If you don't pay attention, you'll be scammed because there tipping "page" pops up first thing when they hand you the machine to settle your bill. In Canada, tips are NOT mandatory. If you are satisfied with the food and service, then you pay a tip that you want - it's a choice. Restaurants cannot add a tip of their choice to your bill, this restaurant is a scam. I'd lodge an official complaint about this shady business. My friends who were there with us will do that too. People need to speak up and not get bullied by shady businesses. We are usually generous with tips but I don't appreciate a restaurant making a tipping decision on my behalf.
