I…read morecertainly want to give the museum some money, but there are only two exhibits and you can practically see the first floor exhibit while you're standing at the front desk. The second floor is a bit more expansive, but $7 feels like you should spend more than 15 minutes tops. I was examining the wooden structure, the bends and repairs. We went up the 4th floor stairs to see what was up there (appears to be where you take school kids for a field trip) just to prolong our stay. Ultimately, while I prefer this to the tourist-trap Red Mill across the bridge, honestly, the bridge is my favorite museum in town. I'd skip this next time.

It's clear how much she and her husband, Ben love and care for every single animal there. The hands-on experience was the highlight for me. I loved getting to feed the gentle horses, alpacas, pigs, goats, donkeys, turkeys, peacocks, sheep and more. The personal interaction with the animals was amazing. The animals seemed happy, healthy, and very used to human interaction, which speaks volumes about the ranch's welfare standards. Not only did I get to help with the animal chores, Kathryn is also very environmentally conscious as we composted, recycled or re-purposed everything at the ranch. It was a joy helping and I highly recommend making an appointment for an experience. It is also a great place to volunteer if you love animals, Kathryn is a remarkable woman. Kathryn not only loves the animals, she is knowledgeable and kind. I learned so much about the different rescue animals and the conservation efforts the ranch supports. The entire property is beautiful with spectacular views. If you're an animal lover or looking for a unique, educational day trip with the family, I cannot recommend Gress Mountain Ranch enough. It's more than just a ranch; it's a truly special place where you can connect with nature and wonderful creatures. I am now a steady volunteer, I encourage you to plan a visit!

There were two museum workers there who offered some information and gave us a small brochure that described each room. Also here is the Christmas City Spirits tasting room where we were able to sample and purchase some spirits which were very tasty and the pourer was very knowledgeable about the making of each type of spirit. Worth a visit, probably would only take about 30 minutes of your time.

I am pretty obsessive when it comes to visiting a venue like this for the first time. And it was…read morealmost impossible to find good reviews so I thought I would share in case it helps somebody else. As far as parking, I had a lot of people helping me by telling me that street parking wasn't really hard to find, you just have to get there at a reasonable time if you want to be closer. We actually arrived later than I wanted to, maybe 20 minutes before the event and we still were pretty close. I kept reading about a giant hill that you had to walk up to get to the seats and I didn't understand until I got there. So if you park on a street near the "bottom" entrance of the stadium, when you enter, you climb a steep paved path to get to the higher rows of bleachers. If you're sitting in the first 15 bleachers starting from the field, though, you can simply just walk around the track from where you enter and walk up the steps. If you park in street parking that's at the "top" of the stadium (we chose to park on West Chew St between 22nd-20th) then when you enter and show your tickets, you're in a good position to walk down to the higher bleachers. I am the idiot who parked near the top of the stadium and had to walk 21 rows down (with a knee problem and no rail to hold onto) to our Section E, 9th row seats. The bathrooms are not as bad as I had read, they're near the top and bottom entrances and I didn't find them particularly difficult to get to either from the top of the stadium, or walking along the bottom of the track. We were there for the DCI event and there were also lots of portable bathrooms that were easy to use. I brought a stadium seat that had armrests on it and didn't have any problem using it, but I can see that if you are in a section that is completely packed out and you are in the middle of that section, it might get dicey because it's so crowded. I was on the aisle, and my son was sitting next to me so it was fine. I saw some other people using the same kind of chairs without problems, but again they were not in sections that were completely packed with people. But I will say that, even though our entire section was not packed out, there was a point at which there were people in front of me and behind me plus my son sitting next to me and I was still able to easily use the chair. I was told beforehand that those chairs were not allowed in the stadium, but when I got there, nobody was saying anything to anyone who had them. And speaking of sections, I think next time I will still choose seats in E (or K). They're right next to the premium center sections, but still close enough to center to be well placed and not nearly as crowded. However, I will pick higher row of bleachers (between 20-25) to get an even better view. Although where we sat was perfectly fine as well, and maybe the sound was better? All in all, we had a very positive experience , and look forward to returning.

Our tour guide (I wish I remembered her name) was fantastic. She took her time explaining the history and guided us through the main museum and the Sisters' House. It was very educational, and I was truly impressed by the hand-built buildings that are part of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Paid street parking is available nearby. Wear comfortable shoes, as there's walking and stairs involved. Overall, a fantastic experience and well worth it.

The Redmill Museum Village also holds a winter village festival with decorated Christmas tree trees…read moremany vendors and food trucks. The scenery is amazing with the red mill and river on one side and the quarry on the other . Santa is present for pictures as well as an old-fashioned trailer for photos. The vendors are classic and all very friendly. There are heaters throughout. To help on the chili days. There are buildings open for the history of the Redmill museum with a true blacksmith present and Weaver's. It is a fun place for families to celebrate the joy of the season.

Attending the Red Mill Museum Winter Village Marketspace was very nice. They even had Santa available for pictures and wishlists. Aside from vendors, the museum had their historic buildings open for viewing. The staff members did a fabulous job at explaining the details of that era and the importance of the Clinton area. If you haven't attended this event, please place it on your 2025 to-do list. You'll enjoy the Winterspace and Clinton's surrounding area.
