I'm surprised I never reviewed this before. It's really loud here so if you are sensitive to noise like me, just expect that This is the place to watch all the football games. Not my thing but just in case it is yours. For bday, you get 10 boneless chicken tenders free. You can choose two diff sauces - we had honey bbq and garlic parm rub and liked garlic parm better. I also ordered steamed shrimp which I like. A drink is required to order with the free tenders so an Arnold Palmer was the choice here. Our server was not friendly, not helpful. Very standoffish and irritated from the beginning. We just enjoyed our lunch. read more

10 minutes till closing went to pick up my phoned in order. I apparently called the wrong one. Had no idea. after asking the server for the order she explained there was none under that name. The manager came out. So kind! Immediately put in for my order. Food was incredible. Server and manager were so kind. Thankful they allowed me to replace my order. Best hooters I've been to! The Original Hooters was a must stop on a recent Clearwater trip per my work colleague... so I had to oblige him! We stopped for about 45 minutes and had a beer and shared a plate of 10 original, breaded hot wings. My Corona was refreshing, the wings were tasty (but not as hot as I recalled), and the service was the best I've ever had at a Hooters! Seriously... our waitress could not have been friendlier or more helpful. One of my work colleagues even commented that he'd never been to a Hooter's where the waitresses were so outstanding. So... to Tia, out outstanding waitress who waited on a table of 3 business travelers on a random Wednesday afternoon... thanks so much for your friendly service with a smile! read more

Not for a football game! It happened again! 6:00 minutes left in the Florida vs Miami game and not only was there no sound but the channel was changed to a women's soccer clinic! The bar emptied out! They finally fixed it with 2:00 minutes left The manager Jen was unconcerned due to food going out incorrectly! Still no competent person in place that knows how to change the channels on what appears to be an overly complicated process. The whole management staff should be shipped to Walk Ons, Winghouse, Five Bucks, Smokey Bones, Whiskey Wings, Norton's, or Twin Peaks to learn how to run a "family oriented" sports bar with a TV package. Nothing elaborate, just a decent TV package. Dont even get me started on their WiFi!!! Neil, this place misses you greatly!!! RIP read more

Had lunch today and it was really good! I had the grouper sandwich and it was grilled nicely - wasn't dry! The side of curly fries were hit and with the Hooters seasoning was a nice addition. My husband had the grilled chicken sandwich and again it was grilled nicely with tots! Our waitress nice and friendly! Would def go back and I do need to try the wings!! read more

Ordered lunch for delivery. Hooters!! WHAT IS THIS!?! The salad looks like it's been sitting in the cooler prepackaged for a couple of days. The bacon looks raw, the lettuces are browning. The wings are cold and look pale so I had to turn the oven on to reheat which takes some time. Missing ranch dressing for salad and an extra one that I paid for. I didn't trust the salad meat so threw that away. The fries were also soggy and barely a handful of fries. I know what happened but this used to be good. I may have to rethink ordering from you again. I think I'm going to start going and ordering from Abe's. read more

I absolutely love Hooters wings but I haven't ordered from there in forever and now I remember why. We ordered DD. My daughter ordered a BBQ bacon burger, I ordered 20 wings. The burger wasn't even put together, cheese was on the side of the burger, ordered MR & it was well done & tasted like a dirty grill. We also only received 18 wings not the 20 we ordered. Hooters management blamed doordash said we needed to contact DD for any type of refund. DD only wants to refund $20 on a $75 order. Total bullsh1t!! Hooters will never get any money from me again. read more

I stopped by the Original Hooters for dinner on New Years Eve around 9:30 pm. It was pretty dead and we were seated right away. We started with the famous fried pickles, homemade, golden brown cut into thin slices and served with dipping sauce. They were hot & delicious and certainly hit the spot. For the main entree I chose the Hooter's salad, their version of a Cobb Salad, Bacon bits, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, tomatoes, and sliced eggs. We also chose the Go Boneless combo that comes with 10 boneless wings with choice of sauce and a side of fries or tots. For the sauce we chose medium buffalo and lemon pepper. If you are a ranch lover you will appreciate hooters home style ranch. It is absolutely delectable however the sauce is extra ($1.09) each even if you order wings which seems ridiculous, nonetheless it's very good. The service was good and the food hit the spot. read more

After a horrible experience at a hooters in Carolina I stated I would come back to the "original" to give another review and see if it's the same, since this used to be my main hangout when I lived over here. Listen, totally different experience, service was great, atmosphere was great. Wings on point, drinks were made great, chili was hot. Everything was hot and on time....Absolutely met my expectations and what I've come to expect from a Hooters. Wish this carried over to all of them.. read more

I wanted to check out the original Hooters to see what all the fuss was about and I must say, I was underwhelmed... We ordered lemon pepper wings and fried pickles; the food was subpar and the drinks were watered down and too sweet. The restaurant was messy, and the service was just ok. I expected better. read more

Special spot, site of the Original Hooters. Service was superb, seated right away on a busy Saturday night. Christina was helpful, attentive, and took great care of us. My chicken wings were pretty good... original style with sauce on the side. One big strike against the Manager who wouldn't honor the coupon from the calendar since we already ordered - which he could have easily done. They also forgot my fries. But the ambiance was fantastic, the museum area was a nice touch, and I got a picture with the chicken. Checked this place off my list. read more

This is the original Hooters location. It's conveniently located about 15 minutes from Clearwater Beach, though there's another location directly on the beach. The signage outside indicates it's the original location, and there's a mini museum of sorts on the inside that shows the history of Hooters. I visited later on a Monday evening which wasn't too busy. The service was quite fast, and the server was friendly. I ordered boneless wings in the Parmesan garlic rub, and they tasted quite good. I would recommend visiting this location if in the area, especially due to its novelty. read more

The place was hopping on a Sunday night, a visiting friend had to visit the original location. Besides for the namesake the atmosphere was very busy. Lots of memorabilia on the wall and a good size merchandise shop. Caution not everything was priced. I ordered the shrimp and my friend got wings. He enjoyed them but had better. I said the same about the wings. Our server was very pleasant which is always a plus at any location. The wings came out early and the shrimp was several minutes later. I was fine with this as we were sharing the fries anyway. The server brought us a second set of fries later in the evening saying she felt bad about the shrimp taking so long. Very kind gesture. One other thing I have to mention about the kindness of the staff, we noticed a server using her mobile phone flashlight to help an elderly couple see the menu on the patio as it was getting dark and the apparently we're having trouble. Friendly! Not only do you need to come see this landmark but if you are interested being taken care of by a very friendly set of staff this is the place to go. read more

This was our first visit to this location, the original Hooters, and it certainly lived up to its reputation! The restaurant was crowded, filled with a mix of locals and tourists. Thankfully, we found seats at the bar. Hooters now offers a lot of great merchandise for sale, which is an improvement compared to years ago. Our bartenders were amazing and very attentive. The chicken was good, but I wasn't too fond of the coleslaw--I'm not sure why I chose to get it. read more

Always cool to come to the original location. This location seems to have a problem with OBNOXIOUSLY loud customers. The staff is too chicken to.say anything (or they don't care) I'm not talking about common loudness, I mean, SUOER SUPER LOUD INCONSIDERATE people. I do still love the food. Always have. Service here is mixed. Sometimes good, sometimes slow. Word has it that the girls outfits are going to be more conservative. Bummer. Should be less conservative. Hated when they quit playing oldies music. Hooters just makes one bad decision after another. No wonder why they're struggling. read more

Disclaimer: I didn't get to eat/drink here Needs work on their customer service. We walked in tonight around 10:30PM hoping to just get a quick drink and maybe try their wings since I've never been to a Hooters before. There was a gentleman behind the counter doing something and I thought he was the hostess, but after he walked away to the bar area and walked back to grab some stuff without no acknowledgment, I decided he wasn't after all. There was a cluster of 3 servers standing near the kitchen window that made eye contact with our group, but didn't come over to help seat us or say the hostess would be right with you etc. Pretty sure the workers around the bar saw us too but didn't want to make eye contact or acknowledge us. We stood at the entrance for probably a good 5 mins or so, or however long it takes a female to use the restroom because when my sister got out of the restroom .. she was surprised that we were still standing there at the entrance and haven't been helped yet. There was no sign that said "please seat yourself" or whatever; there was still quite a good amount of customers in the dining room and patio area , so a comment like we're no longer seating customers or the kitchen is close would have sufficed if that was how they were feeling. So we walked back out and decide we'll never try that location again. Maybe we'll have some luck with one of their other locations in the future. Kind of sad though ..it being the original Hooters location and all, I expected a level of standards/customer service. read more

Going to Hooter's last night 8/2/25 had a disappointing experience. They offer a new drink Pink Passion and boy is it super sweet and hardly drinkable. When our food came my husband's grilled cheese was not hot, warm or edible. Management never came by the table to see if everything was ok, I would rather speak to management than the server since more gets done with management. But boy has this landmark for Clearwater dropped the ball, pick it up or be gone in this industry right now! read more

Appetizers were spot on, dinner not so....10 peice wings, half were literally cold, half were burning hot and all drenched in BBQ sauce. Mahi and Grouper sandwiches, both were dry and barely edible. The area we live in Nevada does not have a Hooters so when I'm in an area that has one, I get a strong longing draw for some of their Buffalo Shrimp in their original hot sauce which is what I ordered tonight (pictured). My wife always loves their BBQ burger & curly fries. Although not the healthiest of meal choices, it was what the doctor ordered tonight after a day on the beach, followed by a couples massage and a couple cocktails...! This location in Clearwater is notable for it being the original location. I haven't been to this one in about 18 years, but the service is still great and they have always delivered some amazing bar food. The inside has a few other nostalgic additions being the first in a very large franchise with over 420 restaurants in 42 states and 29 countries such as placards on the floor with famous quotes from some of the original patrons from 1983 era and historic photos from servers and patrons over the years. Hooters has been very successful because of not only their food but their lovely & friendly servers. If you're in the area, I highly encourage stopping by this classic & historic establishment! read more

With this being the original hooters... it's disappointing how bad it is. I literally ate my entire meal with nothing to drink. My food was horrible and I LOVE hooters and will always give the benefit of the doubt. I literally had 3 chicken wings that were a half inch wide... all my of wings were cold and when asked, the waitress said that this has been happening all week which begs the question as to why no one would do quality control if this is a known issue. Drinks were a minimum of 15 minutes after ordering them. They did not bring all of our apps or food until asked. This place is straight hot garbage. read more

Womp womp wommmmmmp Okay, some of you may be thinking, "What did you expect?!" Honestly, I thought it would be unique and special. I mean it's THE ORIGINAL. However, there was nothing special about this Hooters aside from a little shop as you walk in (I'm not sure if others have that or not). The food was extremely mediocre. It was all pretty bland with the exception of the chicken sandwich. The wings were lacking meat which was surprising considering they are "known for their wings". Oh well! read more
