(estimate of hull damage was what I needed done) After the estimate I had issues and decided it wasn't time to do the current repairs. Jim charged me $1000.00 for the estimate, $3xx of it was for storage which I did not know about and there wasn't a sign anywhere in the shop which states a storage fee. (had I known I would have just picked up my boat after day 1 or 2) I did get fucked in this deal imo but I did not either because now I know NOT to take my boat or recommend this shop to anyone I know. My hull was marked up with chalk and was not cleaned up upon pickup and what seems to me as more damage to my hull prior to dropping it off. I did not have any pictures to prove the before and after. (dremel and fiberglass like a child doodling on the hull inconsistent of scraping rocks and a half ass epoxy job to stick the keel guard back in place) Jim is very knowledgeable guy and I do not doubt his ability or work but what he did was shotty. I paid him to not ever do business with him in the future ever. Its sad to see there isn't a place you could trust anymore these days.

These are the extra fee's they will charge you: Port fee - $1.50 Service charge on food service - $4.40 Fuel Surcharge - $0.75 Minnesota food tax - $2.21 Fees - No explanation I would be embarrassed if I gave a gift to 2 people that cost them an extra $19.30 out of their pocket. Another highlight was our e-bike ride through the Sacred Valley with our awesome guide Kirvi, who was so kind and on top of making sure we were safe and even getting some awesome photos and videos along the way. Our driver Abraham made us feel so welcome and kept us moving along and safe throughout our trip. The restaurants and hotels Knowmad arranged for us were excellent, and our picnic in the Sacred Valley and Pachamanca experience were unbelievable. And no I don't need you to provide me with another F word. TRAILS & FISHING The Kinnickinnic walking trails are pretty extensive and one of the entry points is here in Glen Park. Some of the trails are paved, but not all. I highly recommend for those who love to hike. The bluffs are beautiful and you'll see all kinds of wildlife and not a lot of people. Make sure you check out the historic swinging footbridge. It connects the back of the park and Cascade Street. Bring a camera - there's some great photo opportunities of the South Fork Rapids and the Kinni. Last summer I saw a couple of guys fishing beneath the bridge so I decided to bother them and in doing so I learned that the Kinni is loaded with trout! They asked me not to tell anyone but I can't be trusted with such things. Besides when I got home and excitedly announced it to my husband, he's like "No shit, everybody knows that." o_O FAMILY FUN I'm always surprised there aren't more families hanging here in the summer. There's an outdoor pool, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, places to grill and a lot of space to walk and play. DOGS This is one of my favorite places to bring the pups. Officially, leashes are required. But I usually luck out with nobody around, so I let them run. Be smart and carry a leash in case others show up. And for god's sake and all that is holy, please pick up after your dog. Crap-filled parks are no fun. LOCATION It's on the south end of town. Follow Main Street through town, go past the Dairy Queen (if you have more willpower than I do) down to Park Street and take a right. It's down a couple blocks on the right.

My son who turned 2 this summer can play in the shallow end of the pool without be being right there. He is about 36 inches tall. They say you have to be 10 to get dropped off there but my experience that a lot of parents start dropping them off around 8.

Jim shared fascinating stories and explained why weather conditions are so critical for a safe flight. He also pointed out landmarks along our route and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Jim even helped us check a couple more items off our bucket list--we got to gently touch the St. Croix River and brush the top of a 40-foot tree! It was an unforgettable adventure. A few tips for anyone considering a hot air balloon ride: Safety always comes first, and that means the weather has to be just right. Aamodt's Hot Air Balloon Rides wants you to fly, but they can't control Mother Nature, so be patient if your flight is delayed or rescheduled, we waited 2 1/2 years for the perfect night. Again be patient, it's worth it. Wear a hat, especially if you're tall, because the heat from the burners can get pretty warm. If everyone in your basket agrees, bringing a small Bluetooth speaker for some background music can add to the experience. Also, be prepared to stand for the duration of the flight and know that you'll need to be reasonably agile to climb into and out of the basket. We had a 75-year-old gentleman in our basket who did great with a little assistance. When you think the experience can't get any better, they end it with champagne, a charcuterie board, and strawberries, giving you a chance to talk with the rest of the crew and the other balloon guests. Our favorite was Stephen, who captured wonderful pictures of our ride from the ground and then made us a keepsake hot air balloon out of a champagne cork and wire. Top notch! This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I highly recommend Aamodt's Hot Air Balloon Rides. A special thank you to all the people of Stillwater and everyone boating on the St. Croix River who waved and cheered as we floated overhead--you made an already incredible evening even more memorable!
