I will be honest and say I was a little shocked at the pricing of competitive gymnastics, but I did some research based off other gyms in San Diego and later found that the pricing is very comparable and fair especially for the amount of training and the quality of training that my daughter is getting. On top of that I had plenty of questions about competitive gymnastics and the staff has been answering all my long emails and eventually Kristin the manager ended up just meeting personally with me which I'm grateful for. My daughter hasn't started competing yet, this side of gymnastics is all new to us- but my overall experience of this gym from the past 4+ years getting here has been positive.

I was assured by the owner that the charges for three months (over $300) would be refunded once the Regional Center--whom I was working with--paid for my daughter's sessions. I agreed to pay upfront in good faith, fully expecting the refund once the third party handled the cost. After the Regional Center completed payment, the refund never came. I reached out multiple times over the course of a year, only to receive vague excuses about "budget issues." Eventually, it became clear that the owner had no intention of returning the money. This wasn't a delay--it was a blatant refusal. Holding onto funds that were supposed to be reimbursed feels unethical at best, fraudulent at worst. I cannot in good conscience recommend this gym to any family.

They yelled at a coach during a tournament in Anaheim. Unprofessional administrators run this club and it's apparent they're in it for the money. They don't address parent's concerns and shift the blame then they block your number so you cannot reach them. They favored one family whose child caused problems with her teammates and majority of the top 18s girls team will not be coming back. They fired a league MVP, all-county and all CIF coach because of this family's complaining their daughter doesn't get enough playing time. The 18-1s girl's suffered a losing streak because of ONE vindictive family. The season started with 12 players and 9 remained due to non-communication from Jesse. Had one of the coaches (Jesse) smirk and taunt an ex-exodus player during a high school tournament months later. Club fees are reasonable but uniforms started falling apart mid-season, players also did not wear a lot of the attire because it was too small or short for them. As parents, we committed so much time, energy, and money into this club -- between practices, tournaments, and fees that honestly feel like another car payment. We understood this was a novice team, but what was heartbreaking was watching these young girls be placed in games against much older players, some appearing to be around 13-14 years old while our girls are only 9-11. The size and skill difference was extremely obvious, and the kids simply did not stand a chance. It was painful watching them lose confidence and love for the game after working so hard. Matches ended with barely any points scored, and the girls looked defeated, embarrassed and you can just see the sadness in their faces. As parents, we felt helpless sitting there watching it happen. I would have appreciated more honesty instead of setting these kids up in situations they clearly were not ready for. Another major issue was the professionalism of the coaching staff. Unfortunately, the environment often felt more focused on money than actual player development. There didn't seem to be much attention given to the girls' strengths, positions, or growth as athletes. Communication and treatment toward parents was also disappointing. Coach Tina frequently spoke to parents in a very disrespectful and dismissive manner. One interaction that especially bothered me involved a younger coach, Jaden G. My child simply asked what time it was and was told, "That's none of your business." Completely unnecessary and rude to say to a child. While Neptune may be one of the more affordable club options, unfortunately we now understand why.

The club is disorganized, full of favoritism, and completely lacking transparency. Basic structure and communication are a joke. Ask about where your $ goes, and you'll be met with disrespect. Besides the high monthly dues, you're charged with additional "coach's per diem" per tournament with no clear explanation, no breakdown of where the addtl fees goes, just a cash grab. Club is highly evasive when asked about $$. Try asking for a breakdown of cost, and you'll be labeled a "problem" or "not a team player". Coach Wera is a major red flag. She blames kids for losses, offers no support and brings in outside players from Mexico who get more playtime than the kids who actually paid to be there. Club is run by Team Moms who make sure their kids get all the playtime - skill or no skill. If you're not part of the "in" crowd, don't expect fair treatment. They ignore the vball association's "stay-n-play" rules whenever it's convenient - usually to pacify loud, entitled parents. More favoritism. Club owner Marlena only cares about $$. Player development? Growth? Fairness? Not her priority. Her focus is on how much she can collect from each family. Bottom line, this club is toxic, unfair and driven by money and politics. Your child deserves better. Run - don't walk - another club!!

Why close the pool in the middle of the day and weekend? The hours are not clearly posted on the entrance, only in fine print. The city of Chula Vista has the funds to run the facility with longer hours but don't. If the city pay lifeguards according to market rate, they can find lifeguards. The YMCA has 6 lifeguards for a pool smaller than this pool. The worst locker room, shower only drip when more than 1 person turn it on. The shower tower is the same type on public beaches, it's not acceptable in 2024. Chula Vista funding is not well spent for the general public, instead, the funding is spent on the wealthy East Lake areas!
