I'm not sure what was going on when this place first opened (based on previous reviews) but when I went on Sunday I definitely enjoyed it. The food was really good. I had the fried fish sandwich and waffle fries and it was really good. The portion was very large for the price. The manager was friendly and accommodating. Our server was helpful and personable and they have tons of drinks to choose from. My friend had the wings in their barbeque sauce and he said they were great! If you are thinking about checking it out, don't let some of these reviews scare you. Come see for yourself. I doubt you'll be disappointed. So, the best way I can describe this restaurant and menu would be to call it a Mexican/Irish fusion. Now, that might sound odd but think about it. Mexican food-Yum. Irish pub-Yum. Yeah, it's that- the best of both foods in a pub style setting. What a match made in heaven!!! The menu is really nice and large. And yes, you can have everything from Tacos to Burgers and everything in between. I opted for "pulled pork" nachos. Think- authentic Mexican nachos with literally everything you'd want on them, now add barbecue sweet pulled pork. Just so happens that queso, sour cream, cilantro, pico and bbq pork actually taste awesome together! Waaaaay better than you can imagine- just go try them. I have never stepped foot inside of the restaurant; however I have had their food on numerous occasions via Uber Eats. I must say it is excellent! Great pricing and the food is delicious! I have had the burger, wings and Chicken parm! Yes; I said Chicken Parmesan and it was amazing!! Extra large portions and the sauce and pasta was amazing!!! This is not really a review about this restaurant, but rather about the way one of the servers handled the situation today. I am usually happy with other servers; maybe today was not a good day. The restaurant posts daily special drink & today's drink was Pineapple Upside Down. We were not sure about the drink, so we asked a question to our server about the drink. I said "what is inside this cocktail?", and he replied "I am going to ask [to a bartender to find out]". I thought he would come back with an answer, but instead he brought really small amount of shots to our table & I thought they were just samples to taste. Later I was surprised to see we got billed for the drinks. He insisted we asked for it, but we did not order it, we just asked a question. He kept saying "you guys asked for it", that is not very true! He did not do anything about it to resolve; ok I think we are done. read more

We went in with the expectation that it was a sports bar...so...we did not expect GREAT FINE DINING! It is a comfortable place with good, solid food...some would call it bar food...but...I think it is a bit more than that...although it definitely has its bar food. OK...we got the corn dog nuggets as an appetizer...and...well...good, solid corn dog nuggets...exactly what you would expect. Fresh, made to order...well...probably not...but...tasty? Sure! Wifey had a Peach and Chicken flatbread thing...and found it to be good. Again, was it the world's greatest? Maybe not...but...for $8 and she gets two meals out of something she liked? No problem with that! I got the Club Sandwich...and, by this time, I bet you can guess what I am going to say...Great? Nope...good, solid, when I am hungry, go get it? Yep! It came with waffle fries that were as good as we can do at home...so...would I get that sandwich again? You bet! Service...some here have complained about service...well...we were there, as I said, in the middle of the Falcons football game...and service was fine. I was glad to see something new in open in this space. My friend and I had good service at the bar. I was happy to see a bottle of Buffalo Trace on the shelf, but when I drank the last shot, they did not have another I loved The Saigon Kick wings, nice kick with great flavor. But there wan nothing really special about the Philly. My friend liked his ribs. My girlfriend and I stopped by a few days later for a drink and some deviled eggs, curried with a shallot and some bacon. Either they have worked out their service issues or we avoided them by sitting at the bar. Either way, we had a pleasant experience and there are a few interesting items on the menu that I intend to try and the place has a cozy feel. I hope they make it. read more

I had not tried this place, so thought I would try it as an alternative to Taco Mac in the area (which once was in this location). I walked in about 8:30 on a Saturday night during the NFL playoffs. The sign out front said "Sam Adams Seasonal $3"...I walked in and another sign said please seat yourself...easier said than done. There were 13 empty tables in the place (yep, I counted them), and one of them was clear enough I could sit at it. There was a pretty good crowd in the bar area, and I sat outside of this area as it was pretty rowdy. They must have either been short staffed or badly managed because an hour later, there were still 4 or 5 tables that had not been cleared (yep, same ones that needed clearing an hour before). Service: A cute, attentive, and very friendly waitress waited on me...she was really the only saving grace for the place on my first visit. I will say that 2 other waiters walked by me while I was there and both smiled at me as if they were glad I was there, which was nice. The menu says "Ask for our $3 beer specials", so I did. Was told a few of the usual suspects...all lights. I told her I would opt for the Sam Adams from the sign outside. She informed me that was an old sign and should not be there anymore as it was no longer on special. I told her I wanted one anyway just to see if she would give me the special since it was advertised as such (no such luck). I ordered Fish Tacos and a side salad. Fish tacos were bland with very little flavor. Side salad was good for a sports bar salad (but not much to mess up here as it was basic) and the balsamic vinaigrette was pretty good as well. When the check came, I was charged the normal price for the Sammy. As I walked out of the place, I noticed the sign still was glowing with that Sam Adams special that I didnt get. And THAT is how you get someone to not come back to your restaurant...which is supported by customers last time I checked. Had it not been for my friendly waitress, I would give this a 1 star. If the tacos were tastier, they honored their specials that are clearly on the sign, and they could get their tables cleaned off, I would give this one a 3.5. But for now, there are obviously some issues this place needs to get on top of if they want to stick around. read more

Okay, do not judge this place by its low review ratings on here..apparently it deserves a 1 star from someone because they came in right before close and this NEW bar decided to close early bc they were probably empty..no reason to help ruin their business with such a low rating dude.. My experience (in short) I went on a sunday to watch the game and sat at the bar with my bf. MARLO was bartending and greeted us immediately (even though it was pretty slammed) She was super fast, friendly, and nice. The food was pretty good (the bf loved his burger, waffle fries, and swears by the bourbon wings) There are not many bars in this area so i am really glad hooligans moved in! Saw the open sign and decided to do lunch there. I sat at the bar and was taken care of very nicely by the bartenders Russ and Angie. I counted at least 70 different choices of beers, and the few I had were nice and cold . I kept it simple for lunch and tried their burger and was very satisfied. My counsel is that if you're planning to give them a try, I'd do it sooner rather than later - they don't look to be long term survivors... High expectations in the area when newcomer Hooligans moved into Taco Mac's space... the TM folks moving further east on Holcomb Bridge... Bottom line: Hooligan's offers lots of beer choices, average food on its best day and the service leaves a lot to be desired. There's a sushi restaurant and a Starbucks in that same center - both of which offer better food and service. The Brown Shoe Gourmet won't be returning. read more

Great atmosphere and great food. Macy is awesome and actually remembered us after only one visit. Loved how she treated my puppy btw patio is very dog friendly. The food is amazing, a little bit of everything so you can make even picky eaters happy. She brought him a bowl of ice water, closed the gate for him to run around and had the kitchen make a plain burger to feed him. Next time I came in she asked where Hops, the infamous puppy, was at and how he was doing. Trivia is fun. Lots of TVs inside and outside so it's a great place to watch the game. Hooligans is a nice neighborhood bar/restaurant. It's not fancy but it's comfortable and the food is good. Angel, the bartender during the weekdays, is a super friendly guy who made me welcome right away. The beer selection is pretty expansive and I've not had anything but tasty food in my visits. If you like soccer, they usually have it on for CL matches. And Angel is a Liverpool supporter and a big ATL United guy. read more

This place has THE BEST WINGS EVER! Ashley is my favorite bartender there! She always takes good care of my girlfriend and I whenever we come and visit! I absolutely love the atmosphere, it's live a dive bar got together with a couple of sophisticated men and created hooligans! I had a wonderful time at Hooligans this Saturday to watch college football. The staff was great, very attentive and a pleasure to be around. My only complaint was the group in the back that was incessantly ringing their cowbells...seemed very unnecessary and clearly annoying more than just myself at the bar. Just suggesting that maybe they don't need to have those for the sake of the rest of your guests. read more
