I went to this nursery for the first time the other day and it was a great experience. I live in Kihei and it is hard to find Native Hawaiian plants on Maui (I know, weird right?) I know there is another Native Hawaiian Nursery upcountry but I figured that Haiku is at a lower elevation and that the plants would fair better when I transplant them in Kihei. The nursery had all the plants I was looking for and the service was great. One of the employees approached me as a got out of the car and showed me where to find the plants I was looking for. They had Ko'oloa 'ula, ma'iapilo, ma'o, and nanu which were the plants I was looking for. The ma'iapilo was a very small plant, but the guy explained that it was a little difficult to grow in Haiku and that it should fair better in Kihei. The experience was an overall good one but it would be nice if they had a website with the plants they sell. read more
