And keep going until whatever you have that is injured is rehabilitated. This clinic has provided me much assistance in healing for my neck (2007) and lower back (2017) which turn out to be my weak areas. My conditions are bulging discs, herniated disc, and spinal stenosis. On 08/31/2007 I went to this clinic. At the time the pain was really bad, radiating from my neck, down my arm, and down my shoulder blade that I was sleeping while sitting up. I could not lay back. After 2 weeks of treatment I was laying and sleeping in my bed. Treatments continued to improve my issue and by 09/2008 I was pain free. On 10/31/2017 I went to this clinic again. This time I could not walk more than 500 feet without having to sit down. The radiating sciatic pain was too much to continue. After starting treatment things improved and by the first weekend of 2018 I could walk much further and the pain had decreased. By March 2018 I was able to vacation in Washington DC and visited 5 different museums, walking through all of them. By Labor Day 2018 I was hiking in the White Mountains pain free.

That was all I had gone in for, and I requested no adjustments to my neck as I both had spinal surgery (fusion, C5-7) 3 years prior, had no pain or problems there since, and wanted to keep it that way. She respected my wishes, and we never had a problem. When Dr. Mary moved out of state, I moved over to Dr. Chris, who had a good reputation. Someone in my family had gone to him for years and had nothing but positives to say. My first two or three times were fine. I had also explained to him my spinal surgery and my request for no neck adjustments. I then noticed a distinct lack of professionalism the next time or two, as he primarily complained about his workload and how long his days were. Odd, but fine. Unfortunately the last straw for me was my last appointment 6 weeks ago. He performed a neck adjustment without asking. I immediately felt pain in the same spot I had my surgery and was very concerned. I hoped it would reside later, but it did not. I called back the office and came back in for x-rays. He said that he had forgotten about my medical record and request. Thankfully, the hardware was not damaged. I discussed options and what might be wrong with Dr. Chris, who apologized. I then requested he send me the notes on what we had discussed, to which he responded that there would be no way he would remember what we discussed later in the day and he was very busy with patients. I said I understood his position, but requested he understand mine that if he would not recall, how would I as a layperson recall his descriptions and medical terminology? He then jotted some notes and said he would follow-up. I waited a couple of days and called the office as he had not followed up as he said. When I still did not receive an email a couple of days later, I called again, after which Dr. Chris did email me with a summary of notes as we had discussed. The pain has persisted which has prompted a return to my surgeon's office to confirm no further damage was done. While I understand people make mistakes, forgetting your patient had significant spinal surgery and specific request to avoid this area is unacceptable. I am also concerned about the level of unprofessionalism surrounding these experiences. Further, as I had not had a day of pain since my surgery until this mistake, I am certain I will not return.

Unfortunately, my insurance only covers once a month visits, but being in chronic pain, I was willing to forgo other things and spend the extra money needed to get some relief. AND, when broken down, with the discount given when I paid upfront, it wasn't as expensive as other doctors charge. I'll admit, the first 3 months or so, I was definitely in pain after the adjustments. I could feel my spine was fighting the corrections. Eventually, due to Dr. Sam's persistence, it gave up the fight! He's a very caring, considerate, and compassionate person. You just need to be patient with the course of treatment, and you need to stick with the exercises on a regular basis. I'm now very close to being completely pain free after 4 months of intensive adjustments. Thank you Dr. Sam! And thank you to John and Ellen, his wonderful staff!

In late September, we moved to Concord, NH to start a new life together, but we were left with some very negative side-effects and injuries from the accident. While in Orlando, we began receiving chiropractic treatment with little to no effect, however, we felt that the practitioner we were seeing simply did not approach our injuries with a holistic mindset. Upon moving to New Hampshire, we felt it imperative to find another chiropractor and try again. I looked for practitioners nearby and immediately noticed a common theme with Dr. Sam. That theme was happy patients and humble approach to spinal health. We set an appointment and from the get-go, we felt comfortable and at ease knowing that someone was willing to listen to our concerns. Dr. Sam took a very personal approach to our circumstances, as he does with all of his patients. He truly looks out for your best interest while under his care. Since seeing Dr. Sam, we have been slowly healing and getting back to normal. All in all, I am so fortunate to have such a wonderfully understanding, community-focused, experienced and humble chiropractor to get us back to a state of physical equilibrium and continue to enjoy life. Whether you simply need to find a new approach to overall physical health, or have chronic pain from a previous injury or daily life, Dr. Sam can, and will, create a custom plan fit for every patient that walks through his door. On another note, with only two people staffing the entire office, I could not ask for a more pleasant experience. Laura and Dr. Sam make a great team who are inviting, accommodating and understanding of others busy schedules. Laura has a warm smile and graciously welcomes each patient by name. Service like that is hard to come by in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I highly recommend Community Chiropractic for a holistic, natural, and truly humble approach to spinal health.
