So why 4 stars? It all comes down to the pillows... I wish hotels would get this. But if I'm not getting a good night's sleep in a hotel, I really can't give it 4 stars. Everything else in the room was great, especially the bar soap here! I'd buy it for home if I could. The decor was awesome. The theme of music resonates through the halls and rooms and even the cool guitar shaped sinks in the public rest rooms. I read a bit about the history of the area and things about Elvis, The Rolling Stones, and a few other bands... Juggalos may be disappointed as I didn't see any of their fans or Faygo Pop anywhere. I must have been on the VIP list as my room was upgraded and I had a bonus room where I could have had some parties or meetings or party meetings (I like combining them). Sadly, I wasn't prepared and just sat in there by myself for a while feeling good about myself. If you're here for a conference, please understand there will be quite the walk to the conference center. I was there in the heat so I opted to drive to the conference area so I wouldn't get all sweaty... I saved that for after! There are some cool views of the dam and the surrounding areas, so make sure you head to the tower and check it out. Repairs to the front steps (boards need replaced for safety) and better blinds covering front windows are necessary. The bathroom is super tiny and the vanity should be replaced. It's beat up and doors are just for ascetic purposes. Not any storage space for your personal stuff. Lastly, the noise. The cabin we rented is very close to the highway. This isn't mentioned in the description. If you do decide to rent, call them directly and ask for a cabin in the back of the property. It's pricey in my opinion considering the issues I listed here. We stayed in late February.

Recently experienced for the third time that the golf course screwed up a golf tournament. Twice…read moreit was allowing groups to go ahead of a shotgun start causing multiple groups on each hole. Then yesterday, they forgot we scheduled a 40 person tournament months ago and booked others. We had 20 tournament carts waiting on the 1st tee while they gave priority to those they booked in error causing us to have a 6 hour round. I like the challenging course, but the golf course management needs to make serious changes.

I was in Tupelo to take care of business for affairs of my sister who had just passed…read more Everything and everyone was so accommodating. I asked if they had a bereavement discount. They do not but the manager gave me the AAA discount. I was so thankful. Also I was in ad out of the hotel during the time housekeeping was doing rounds. To my happy surprise no matter if you were a new guest or multiple night stay, housekeeping changes the sheets on the beds daily. I will so stay here again the next time I'm in Tupelo.
