11 Stars to all the staff. I can't say enough about everyone who I interacted with at this place!…read moreFrom the front desk, to people helping with an event, to the team at the front door of the hotel, to the restaurant staff, and finally Kailan in the coffee shop who made my delicious hot mocha every morning... everyone was a pure delight! So why 4 stars? It all comes down to the pillows... I wish hotels would get this. But if I'm not getting a good night's sleep in a hotel, I really can't give it 4 stars. Everything else in the room was great, especially the bar soap here! I'd buy it for home if I could. The decor was awesome. The theme of music resonates through the halls and rooms and even the cool guitar shaped sinks in the public rest rooms. I read a bit about the history of the area and things about Elvis, The Rolling Stones, and a few other bands... Juggalos may be disappointed as I didn't see any of their fans or Faygo Pop anywhere. I must have been on the VIP list as my room was upgraded and I had a bonus room where I could have had some parties or meetings or party meetings (I like combining them). Sadly, I wasn't prepared and just sat in there by myself for a while feeling good about myself. If you're here for a conference, please understand there will be quite the walk to the conference center. I was there in the heat so I opted to drive to the conference area so I wouldn't get all sweaty... I saved that for after! There are some cool views of the dam and the surrounding areas, so make sure you head to the tower and check it out. But if you've heard about southern hospitality, this resort hit all the marks for sure! Thanks to whoever is responsible for the mentality of the staff here. Excellent Excellent Excellent!

Quick staycation with my grandsons before school starts. The room was spacious and nicely…read moredecorated, small fridge is provided Nice size bathroom. The kids loved the pool You can also walk to the splash nearby. Now the reason I didn't give it 5stars #1 One of the workers weren't friendly or welcoming, my grandson mentioned it to me several times. #2 Our room floor wasn't vacuumed well before we arrived. #3. We couldn't enjoy sitting outside on balcony There were Spiders webs and SPIDERS everywhere #4 The buffet food wasn't hot! Other than that it was a good stay

WOW! If you are on the fence about coming here...just pay the price and come here! My husband…read morewanted to come here while we were staying in Memphis and I am so glad we bit the price tag and did it. We stayed in the Fly Fishing Lodge suite and it was awesome. 1,300 square feet of greatness in 1 room! We checked in and the lady at the front counter was so nice and friendly, it made the check in process easy. I asked about the back to school promo they were running since I called about it a couple days before my stay and she said it was on my bill (10% off and some coupons). Perfect! She let me know all the amenities the hotel offered and about the elevator ride. And even had a scavenger hunt for the kids! How awesome is that. You should offer that to everyone (minus the ducks for adults) because it was an awesome way to get to know the hotel and move around the hotel levels freely and with purpose. There is no pool here but it makes up for it with other things to do. From bowling, to the elevator ride, to the restaurants and the shopping there was plenty for the kids to do. Once we checked out and received our emailed receipt I realized the back to school promo wasn't applied to our bill. When I called the lady wasn't informed on the promo either so oh well, bummer.

I was really looking forward to staying at Big Cypress Lodge, but unfortunately it was one of the…read moremost disappointing hotel experiences I've had. The photos online are incredibly flattering and set expectations that simply weren't met. In person, the property felt dated and underwhelming. Our room overlooked a staircase instead of the store view we were led to expect, and there was nothing particularly luxurious about it. Even the "fireplace" was just a light effect, which felt misleading. The service was the biggest letdown. Most of the staff we encountered were unfriendly or dismissive. Housekeeping came by around 9:00 a.m. while I was getting dressed, and because I couldn't let them in at that moment, our room was never serviced for the rest of the day. No one returned. Calling the front desk was equally frustrating--we repeatedly waited on hold with no answer and ultimately had to go downstairs in person anytime we needed assistance. The layout and amenities were also disappointing. Guests could use the express elevator going up, but not coming down, which made little sense. The hallways were extremely dark and honestly felt uncomfortable and unsafe. Amenities were sparse, and room service after 11:00 a.m. was basically limited to burgers, offering very little variety. We were also attending events during our stay, and unfortunately the food served at every function was consistently poor. The location inside Bass Pro Shops is certainly unique, but the novelty wasn't enough to make up for the lack of service, misleading expectations, and overall value. For the premium price, I expected a true luxury experience. Instead, it felt more like paying luxury rates for a very average hotel. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
