I found THE tree service. Yosef came out and asessed the damage, Jose's bid was reasonable and saved us money. The best part of Yosef was the service. They went to work and never took a break. I reached out to 5 different companies around the Temple/Belton area and only got responses from 2 companies. One was J R Ash Tree Company. They drove by and called me with an estimate, and I was blown away; they were 60% cheaper than the other quote I got!!! I was a little nervous thinking "you get what you pay for", but he said he could even come by that same day (a Saturday) and do the job. I was thrilled! The *one* thing that made me worried was he said he's be there between 3-4PM, and by 4PM, I had to call him because he wasn't there yet. He said he was still coming; he had some things to take care of. I'm not taking a star away though because 1) It was a Saturday, 2) he still showed up and got the job done, and 3) he provided services the same day he gave me a quote. I saw him pull up with his truck and trailer and went out to meet him; he was already ready to start trimming! I asked him to first tell me what he was going to do and I told him what I wanted out of the project. He was patient and knowledgeable, so I felt better that maybe his price was just a REALLY great deal! Turns out, that was EXACTLY the case! The trees turned out beautiful; shaped well, thinned, yet retained their value! Even my mom - who is a very particular and critical person - said how great they did and wished they would have done her trees! James and his partner cleaned up the branches, blew everything off, and were done so quickly! They even put up with our nosy neighbor "supervising" the whole ordeal. I will definitely use them again.
