And sometimes they'll just put on the music they feel like - even if that's a Queen live concert video, blaring - for a full hour - and some songs on repeat. But the drinks are really, really nice - creative, deep menu. And they're reasonably priced for their elegance. ("Rhubarb Dream" was particularly delightful.) Super-hipster decor, with requisite wallpaper, attire, even a van dyke beard spotted among the staff. It's a funky spot with mismatched furniture, hip hop playing overhead, tons of drinks and snacks, and an outdoor patio if it happens to be a nice evening in Berlin. I picked this place because it was close by and looked really cute in the pictures. So happy my boyfriend and I stopped here during our trip in Berlin, I really wanted some nice cocktails and he got the beer he wanted so it was a nice balance. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the atmosphere was alright, I wish it was a little bigger and the smoking was really annoying. All in all, it's a great, intimate place to get a delicious drink and chill for a while after your legs get tired from walking around Berlin. I loved the Milch and Soda cocktail- it gave me a memorable hangover but I would order it again because it was so cool! The flame on top when he served it was a nice touch and the dangerous veil of fruity goodness masked the alcohol just enough but not too much to risk losing those delicious flavors. I would certainly come back at a time when there is less smoking- absolutely excellent!

The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, yet we had to wait a while to be shown a table. We requested to sit outside, and were chatting amongst ourselves, but the barmaid kept hissing at us. A bit odd, but perhaps a misunderstanding. We asked to move tables together (the outside area was completely empty) and the waiter just shouted at us. A simple 'no' would have sufficed! If you are a tourist like us, on the lookout for traditional cuisine, you will find a much warmer welcome (and better pricing) just around the corner in Kartoffelhaus.

I stopped in with a friend after lunch to warm up with a chai latte - I noticed that many of the cafes in Berlin only offered oat milk as a non-dairy option which is delicious but also a bit heavy for me. Nonetheless, the chai was delicious! My friend also tried the peach beer and loved it. I wish I'd made it back here a second time because the craft brew list by BRLO looked so good and interesting. The vibe here is perfect - a little industrial but with homey touches such as plants and shelves of books. The outside space looked super cute as well, but it was chilly so I didn't get to experience it. For those looking to play games, they have shuffleboard in the basement!

Don't worry, this isn't Mitte. This is Neukölln, so you'll definitely find a seat where you can type away in peace. And much like Berlin, Prachtwerk is whatever you want it to be. I've stopped by whenever I wanted a relaxing place to work with friends--the fact that you can buy food and alcohol makes the work go by even quicker! +1 for the city's freewheeling, entrepreneurial spirit because if my experiences are anything to go by, no one at Prachtwerk will raise an eye if you 1. order a cocktail in the early afternoon or 2. hunker down for a few hours. I found the drink prices to be relatively standard for Berlin as a whole, but they might be a little expensive for Neukölln: €7 for the Adult Lemonade (lavender lemonade with either gin or vodka) and €6.50 for a gin and tonic. Chase it down with a slice of one of their delicious cheesecakes. (I'm partial to the Oreo one.) Hint: grab a seat on one of the elevated couches that overlook the stage at the end of the venue.
