The atmosphere is pub like, divey but clean too. They speak English which is great and it's a bit too busy place to catch a soccer game. The patio is poppin in the summer, only downside is they don't have tvs on the patio, which would make it even better for those clutch games.

The food (a hamburger with fries) was cooked well and paired well with the local beer. Definitely a neighborhood gem. Speaking of gems... I just want to thank Lily, our lovely bartender, who made us feel at home. We had a fun chat about nature and areas of study. I love interacting with friendly locals, they share their worldview and make you feel at home. When I stop by Frankfurt, I'll definitely stop by here for the food, the drinks, and the great German hospitality!

The place was pretty happening on a Sunday night. I was in the minority without a tattoo and a penis. Although I was not a fan of the cloud of smoke, the atmosphere more than made up for it. The bartender was knocking back shots with patrons and no English was spoken other than singing along to the jukebox. Winner.

Veritas has Greek staple food like grilled the baby calamari: sorry, but Germany is a liberal country and minces meat but no words when it comes to food). But I'm digressing. The squid was tender and the fries I order quite good: small and not greasy at all! I only wish the Tsatsiki were a bit spicier.

My first meal in Frankfurt, and I must say it was a great intro to German cuisine! It was so filling -- I couldn't finish the plate by myself... and I can eat. A lot. :) I also ordered the first Pils on the menu that the waiter recommended, and it was a good deal. A little dry but a little sweet to balance it out. Not much of a beer drinker, but overall everything was a great experience! Total come to around 19 euros. Last thoughts: the bathroom downstairs has free postcards for any of you travelers wanting to collect Frankfurt mementos!

At least the cheapest one was decent wine. There was some music or band or whatever was playing which was ok but obviously forgettable. I had the pork bun which had a lot of flavoured cream, spices, or herbs stuffed in it. Those at least helped cover up that the pork belly was nothing but a boiled bland fatty slab. I also had a macaron with "cherry water" filling. Unfortunately it ceased to be a macaron after the first bite. It was so dry and crispy it just broke apart into a million little pieces. Poor sweetheart is probably 25 days old. The whole production was just amusingly artsy. In the end that's what you're paying for anyway - the vibe and the view.
