The Hong Kong is a Hobart institution. It recently underwent an ownership change and many folks were skeptical about what would happen. I visited there with the kiddos tonight to test it out. We ordered prawn crackers, prawn dumplings and dim sims. We then moved on to scallops with veggies stir fry and an order of special fried rice. I enjoyed a glass of lovely crisp sauv blanc to accompany the meal.
The service was friendly and welcoming, the food was outstanding. Fresh Tassie scallops lightly stir fried in crunchy fresh veggies? Omg heaven. I'd be back here in a shot next time we are in Hobart. I declare the transition a success! read more
