We all left full and happy! Service was top notch but a little on the slow side. The kitchen made great food but they were in no hurry to make it or to get it out to us. Likewise, once we had finished dinner they just allowed us to sit and twiddle our thumbs, and no one thought about bringing a check to our perfectly cleaned off table until we asked for it. Ambiance was nice, good decor and surprisingly quiet for a large resort style dining room.

It's late in the evening of arrival at the Solaz, Misaki has offered a great value dinner overall…read more We had a longer journey to get here & wanted a quick bite of the local flavors (food & beers). Our personal concierge recommended it & helped to make a reservation (recommend to do so). The quality of the fish & dishes was superb. I intended to try the Sawara (Spanish Mackerel) to determine how legit this place. The Chutoro was definitely my favorite. The other dish was striking for me was Zuke Maguro Don (like, Poke Bowl) -- so delicious. I like tempura so I also got the Ten Don Bowl, with a soft boiled egg, this plate was sensational. I enjoyed the Haiku beer (Rice beer), it went well with the meal. The other beer was Lupulosa (IPA). These are brewed from Mexico, and they are good. If anyone are into sushi, this should be a good start to start. I am sure there are other good places, but my first impression for Los Cabos is here. The one thing I missed was the fresh (chopped) wasabi, which I asked for, but due to Covid, it's currently unavailable. The staff was super nice & friendly. Thank you for a great dining experience.

HIDDEN GEM ALERT!…read more First off, sushi in Cabo?! What a concept lol. This place is definitely off the beaten path. I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express Cabo San Lucas for two nights in March 2020 (right as the pandemic was hitting, so I was there changing my travel plans to head home). Maguro Sushi is pretty much right next door. There is also an Office Max in the plaza, as well as a Walmart and Costco nearby (both across the street, Walmart being a bit further down the street but very close like a 5 minute drive). I chose the hotel because of it's proximity to these stores - I was going to do a little shopping before going back home to the Bay Area. I also had to try Costco hot foods haha like they have a shrimp bake! (It was okay lol - I'll write a separate review!) The hotel itself is simple, clean, and cheap. Anyway! I was so pleased to discover this place. The service was really friendly and nice. Their menu isn't in English so I kinda ordered blindly, but I think you probably can't go wrong ordering here! Everything I tried was so tasty. I tried two fancy sushi plates and their miso soup on two separate occasions. I wasn't super hungry because I was there on previous days for a bachelorette party, and I had done plenty of eating and drinking already! I came here looking for a light and tasty meal. Also, the presentation of their sushi is so pretty. Bring Google Translate to help guide your decisions. You can download languages offline on Google Translate i.e. Spanish if you don't have an international data plan. I came here by myself two nights alone like a weirdo lol and no regrets! Please come here and support these guys! Inside it's simple and just a couple tables, nothing too fancy.

We in desperate need of a non-resort meal and found ourselves at Daikoku…read more The menu is pretty extensive with plenty of apps, sushi rolls, sashimi, rice and noodle entrees. While there was plenty to choose from, we ordered very conservatively - rolls, fried rice, tempura. My favorite thing I ate was probably the yakimeshi ebi ($8 USD). It's just a simple fried rice with shrimp, scallion, and egg. This was a very good scallion fried rice that satiated my cravings. All the rolls we ordered were good though not very discernible in terms of taste. I think the indoor space is much nicer than the outdoor space, so do that if you can. Daikoku is perfect if you're looking for an Asian option in Cabo.
