I had high hopes for this place. Being raised in the south I was looking forward to country vegetables. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as I hoped. The vegetables were very overcooked and the Mac & cheese had no flavor and was also overcooked. I would have given them 2 stars but they got an extra star for pepper vinegar. They have such good food. I love their chicken cordon, blue wrap, especially with the pasta salad. It's one of my favorite sides as well as the fried okra here. Honeysuckle is a homey, little southern style restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and worked to quickly get your order/food/check. The club sandwiches were exactly what we needed on this hot day. They were decent size too so we were able to bring half home for dinner! For a laud back lunch this is your spot. Decor reminded me of my grandma's house in the country. The food was themes on old southern cooking. I ate the butternut squash soup and the half if a roast beef sandwich. Washed it all down with a huge unsweetened ice tea. Had driven over to the coast to watch the shuttle launch and we wanted to grab something to eat before heading back home. We came across this place and read some of the reviews. We were so thankful we stopped by for a great meal. They were taking orders at the counter and then you would grab a seat inside (they were making sure they had tables available before taking order since they had limited seating due to covid guidelines). We started with smothers tater tots and they were delicious and had lots of toppings across the entire order so no need to dig around for any cheese, bacon, or sour cream. For my entree, I did the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon. The chicken breast was so large it was hanging over the sides of the bun. It was a lot so I opted to remove the bun and just cut up and eat the chicken that way. It was juicy and delicious. I also did the homemade mac and cheese as my side and it was cheesy and delicious. My husband ordered the southern fried chicken and had fried okra and steamed cabbage for his sides. He said it was all delicious and cooked perfectly. When we are over on this side of town we will be sure to stop in for a great meal. read more

Very disappointed today of the service!! I walked in and it literally took the lady almost a good 2 mins before she acknowledged my presence!! I asked to dine in and of course it was busy so, I asked if I could sit outside and she replied with " I'm sorry we can't seat you, and I don't want you to wait for a long time to be serviced" which is fine and dandy however I felt like my business and money wasn't needed nor wanted in that establishment!!
