I sat down and we discussed for a minute or so and he got to work and gave a great cut. The shop was busy and inviting. I got the cut and a beard trim with hot towel and face massage for $45. Great quality and great value. I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area again.

Not a pleasant interaction with Chuck…read more I was running 5 minutes late for my appointment, so I called ahead since I haven't been here before to make sure I wouldn't lose the reservation. Another barber said "sounds good," so I assumed I was good. Wrong. When I arrived, Chuck asked "Are you Kory?" I said "Yeah, Chuck? Nice to meet you," and reached out to shake his hand. He ignored my handshake and ranted about being the owner and he doesn't take late arrivals. Which is fair, it's his business and he can have whatever policy he wants. But the frustrating part is that I had just called ahead and was told it was fine. So I started to leave while explaining that I called ahead. He then tried to get me to stay and called another barber to cut my hair instead of him. He walked outside while I was standing there confused. I sat down for about 30 seconds, ran the whole scenario through my head and got up and left. A few minutes later the other barber called me asking if I was still coming for the cut and asked what happened. I told him not to worry about it. If the policy is no late arrivals, that's totally fair, just make sure everyone working there is on the same page when customers call ahead. The whole interaction was unnecessarily dramatic.

I have had my hair cut by different barbers here and trust me, all of these guys are top notch. They cut your hair like what you would expect from a Chicago barber shop (very clean lines and any crazy style you want). I also get my 2yr old sons hair cut here. They are great with kids and always exceed my expectations. I always come here when I'm in town because I don't have to call in and I know my cut will always look great. Also, the guys here are a blast to talk to and just watch them work on other people while you get your cut.

I had a horrible experience in Skyway. The two barbers were the only people in the shop and no…read moreother possible customers ever came by. But they TOLD ME that they were "very busy" and for me to leave the shop. I laughed at "how busy" they were as I left. They could not even do a shave, which was necessary for my situation. He could not even tell me HOW MUCH I would be charged, but he said I had a lot of hair so he would probably charge $30 or $40 for a haircut, but without any (necessary) shave. Amusing that a business could exist with such a horrible understanding of "customer service". I have many contacts, and when customer service is good, I often send a LOT of extra business in. Here, I will make sure that everyone knows that Skyway has horrible customer service. And apparently exorbitant prices and no capability to do a shave. Really a sad experience.
