It's 6:45pm and I was turned away saying they are closing. Yelp says 8:00pm and the door says 7:30pm for the hours of operation. It was two young guys working and the owner was not there. I wonder if he knows they are turning away business before they are scheduled to close. read more

Owner is terrible. If you're late he'll cancel your appointment. If he's late he'll make excuses & say it's ok & have amnesia. 11am appointment & he text me a 10:54 saying he's going to be late. For walk ins or appointments this is a great place for anyone looking for quality hair cut or lining. I usually see Kevin weekly and never disappointed. I'm in and out and usually leave feeling like a million bucks. The barber shop is always clean they also have a friendly staff with snacks in the vending machine with drinks while you wait. This isn't a $15 great clips but the service and quality is well worth it. Second time coming to this shop and both times I left pleased with my cut. Only had my hair cut by Chris & Jose and they both did a good job. From what I can tell all the barbers here have skills. They have a simple walk-in procedure with a sign in clipboard; which is effect and quick. You can also make appts with a certain barber. I have not been there during the busy times so I can't really comment on how packed it gets. But based on its following on IG, it's safe to say it can get packed. They really take the time to get the cut the way you like it. I especially like the level of professional everyone has in the spot. My bf has been looking for a good barber forever, and before Assyria, he struggled. I have come with him a couple times, and there isn't a single complaint. She's so sweet! The interior is also really nice. They have very comfortable chairs in the waiting area, with TVs and vending machines. It makes waiting less of a chore! I highly recommend coming here. Going to a barbershop being part of the LGBTQ community can be a daunting task due to the atmosphere that most barbershops have. I've gone to a few where I am not even acknowledged when I walk in, but walking into Official Cuts at Chicago Ridge, was a different experience. I was greeted by almost every barber there with a simple "hello, welcome".. I booked my appointment with Assyria (make sure to follow her at Assyria.gindo on Instagram) and she was great! She asked me what type of cut I was looking to get, gave me her advice, and I let her work her magic. She took her time getting my cut nice and crispy! She did a fantastic job and delivered it with great customer service. I've come across the issue that most barbers aren't too familiar with scissor cutting and end up making my hair uneven, but Assyria definitely knew how to cut my hair and left it looking amazing (and even lol). Due to high demand most barbers will be extremely busy with appointments so being a walk in will cause you to wait. This place sucks. Let me start by saying these guys hype themselves up on Instagram. You'll see the "Los cut it" guy in his skin tight leather pants making duck face selfies in every photo with clients and the other crew members do the same. I figured with all the Instagram buzz they would be good. Wrong! Walk in here and no one acknowledges you with a hi or hello, unless you are Arabic then you hear 3 or 4 barbers shout out asalam alaykum. None of the barbers want to do walk ins. Then after you finally do get someone to cut your hair it's 15 dollars, and a "little more" next time by appointment which happens to be 50 dollars. The majority of the time the barbers are to caught up in convos amongst themselves to pay attention to you. Go somewhere else, save your money. read more

Shop is always clean many TVs around to enjoy while waiting nice aquatic fish tank in the center for the kids to enjoy. Used to come here when i lived in Justice. Although i had one barber i dealt with specifically i can honestly say that all of them do a pretty good job. Doesn't matter what kind of hair you got, they can cut it. They keep the area pretty nice and clean and they have a couple flat screens in the joint for entertainment. Never went here everyone says try it tried today. 1st I walk in and there was no greeting no wait time told to me so I sat down. This is a cash only barbershop also something they do not tell you or have posted. there are also no prices posted you must guess for this place. So I ask the guy do you take cards? Responds with "na man" ok... I will go get cash so I go and get cash and then a regular customer walks in and they inform him that they will not be available for over 2 1/2 hours. So instead of telling me that they let me go and get cash and proceed to sit there like a idiot if you let these guy hold a blade to you're neck you are as dumb as they are 1st and last trip here. read more
