It's 6:45pm and I was turned away saying they are closing. Yelp says 8:00pm and the door says 7:30pm for the hours of operation. It was two young guys working and the owner was not there. I wonder if he knows they are turning away business before they are scheduled to close. read more

I have been going here about two months consistently every week getting cut by Mr. official himself and every time has been a pleasant service and on time service. Owner is terrible. If you're late he'll cancel your appointment. If he's late he'll make excuses & say it's ok & have amnesia. 11am appointment & he text me a 10:54 saying he's going to be late. Pics below. Dates & times match. It's a small world & it's weird to talk crazy knowing a person knows where you work & what car you drive. Karma is real. read more

For walk ins or appointments this is a great place for anyone looking for quality hair cut or lining. I usually see Kevin weekly and never disappointed. I'm in and out and usually leave feeling like a million bucks. The barber shop is always clean they also have a friendly staff with snacks in the vending machine with drinks while you wait. This isn't a $15 great clips but the service and quality is well worth it. Some of the best barbers of the Midwest came out of official cuts and its definitely the place to go if u wanna try somewhere new. Don't cheat yourself treat yourself and check them out read more

Second time coming to this shop and both times I left pleased with my cut. Only had my hair cut by Chris & Jose and they both did a good job. From what I can tell all the barbers here have skills. They have a simple walk-in procedure with a sign in clipboard; which is effect and quick. You can also make appts with a certain barber. I have not been there during the busy times so I can't really comment on how packed it gets. But based on its following on IG, it's safe to say it can get packed. They really take the time to get the cut the way you like it. I especially like the level of professional everyone has in the spot. Coming from NYC I figured this would be like my old spot in the hood where anything goes with convo topics but they keep it low key here which is cool. read more

My bf has been looking for a good barber forever, and before Assyria, he struggled. I have come with him a couple times, and there isn't a single complaint. She's so sweet! The interior is also really nice. They have very comfortable chairs in the waiting area, with TVs and vending machines. It makes waiting less of a chore! I highly recommend coming here. I'm sure everyone here is talented, but our experience with Assyria has been nothing but phenomenal. read more

This place is extremely slow , the barber's stop every 2 mins to talk . 1 of the barber's took 1 hr to cut a guys hair who was particularly bald... won't come back ..... read more

I'm sure they may cut hair, of all types, very well BUT their service is terrible and unacceptable. Anywhere you have to wait 3hrs, as a walk in, is total disrespect for other people's time! FOH!! read more

I've been going here for 6 years now. I once lived less than 10 minutes away and now I live in Addison and still make the drive. Andy always leaves me on point, never fails. Strongly recommend going with him. Best to call and make an appointment in advance. The staff are all friendly and it's a good environment. Plus, they usually have movies or sports on TV. read more

Best Barbershop around been coming to the Chicago Ridge location for over 6 years now. All chill guys and girl at the shop. Theyre always busy and grinding! For that reason I'd definitely recommend calling in before or making an appointment or else you might not be in a chair right away, and can possibly be a long wait if it's a busy day. They're busy all the time for a reason and it's because everyone wants their service which is excellent! read more

Going to a barbershop being part of the LGBTQ community can be a daunting task due to the atmosphere that most barbershops have. I've gone to a few where I am not even acknowledged when I walk in, but walking into Official Cuts at Chicago Ridge, was a different experience. I was greeted by almost every barber there with a simple "hello, welcome".. I booked my appointment with Assyria (make sure to follow her at Assyria.gindo on Instagram) and she was great! She asked me what type of cut I was looking to get, gave me her advice, and I let her work her magic. She took her time getting my cut nice and crispy! She did a fantastic job and delivered it with great customer service. I've come across the issue that most barbers aren't too familiar with scissor cutting and end up making my hair uneven, but Assyria definitely knew how to cut my hair and left it looking amazing (and even lol). Will definitely be going back biweekly for my cuts. I highly recommend you all to stop by official cuts and give Assyria a chance to bring you back to life! Thank you! read more

A very professional crew of barbers making sure you're well taken care of and not to mention there interest in the public's health during these unprecedented times ensuring their stations are clean and sanitized for their next client. Rude, slow service and overpriced. When I said I could down the street for half the price I was told to go.

This Barbershop is one of today's most Modernize shops with an old school vibe to it ( great conversations and family vibe) they treat you like family no matter who's chair you're in. Even tho most bad reviews on here are due to " waiting too long as a walk in) I strongly recommend you book an appointment when coming here, it'll just be way easier and more convenient for you and the barber. Due to high demand most barbers will be extremely busy with appointments so being a walk in will cause you to wait. Professional barbers try their hardest to work well with people who can work with them making our experience a great one .. A great reason as to why you see all the great feedback on here. When it's all said and done you get what you pay for, If you want a cheap price and to walk in anytime you want then I can assure you those days are coming to an end in most barbershops but if you would like the experience To book a time that is convenient for you so you can walk and be out at A schedule time frame then this is the perfect Barbershop for you. read more

This place sucks. Let me start by saying these guys hype themselves up on Instagram. You'll see the "Los cut it" guy in his skin tight leather pants making duck face selfies in every photo with clients and the other crew members do the same. I figured with all the Instagram buzz they would be good. Wrong! Walk in here and no one acknowledges you with a hi or hello, unless you are Arabic then you hear 3 or 4 barbers shout out asalam alaykum. None of the barbers want to do walk ins. Then after you finally do get someone to cut your hair it's 15 dollars, and a "little more" next time by appointment which happens to be 50 dollars. The majority of the time the barbers are to caught up in convos amongst themselves to pay attention to you. Go somewhere else, save your money. read more

Great haircuts. Awful customer services. Went at 10 am ona weekday and after 30 minutes waiting, I left. The 4 barbers were talking to each other and taking their sweet time. Never said hi, we will be right with you. Just relaxing and talking about vacations in Costa Rica. No going back there. They need to consider that a haircut should not take 3 hours. read more

Used to come here when i lived in Justice. Although i had one barber i dealt with specifically i can honestly say that all of them do a pretty good job. Doesn't matter what kind of hair you got, they can cut it. They keep the area pretty nice and clean and they have a couple flat screens in the joint for entertainment. Like most shops they sell snacks and tees and cell phone accessories. My nephew was long overdue for a cut so i took him but despite living where i do now i would still make the trip to this shop if i wasn't doing the bald thing, read more

Never went here everyone says try it tried today. 1st I walk in and there was no greeting no wait time told to me so I sat down. This is a cash only barbershop also something they do not tell you or have posted. there are also no prices posted you must guess for this place. So I ask the guy do you take cards? Responds with "na man" ok... I will go get cash so I go and get cash and then a regular customer walks in and they inform him that they will not be available for over 2 1/2 hours. So instead of telling me that they let me go and get cash and proceed to sit there like a idiot if you let these guy hold a blade to you're neck you are as dumb as they are 1st and last trip here. read more

Everyone there is super nice. Very professional. They are always playing great movies. And if you walk in with your kids they will play something appropriate for the younger ones.
