Don't let its lack of originality put you off though - this does what it does exceedingly well and you won't be disappointed. It pretty much just does drinks and although there are a few seats and lots of standing room, it's designed mainly as a takeaway shop. The drinks come in 2 main varieties: super sweet and sickly treats and super fruity health boosts. The milkshakes can involve any manner of gooey delights - you pick what you want from a huge list on a board on the wall, then watch as the staff chuck everything into a blender to create heaven in a cup. And I mean anything: whatever the chocolate bar, you name it. Then add in some ice cream, sauces, sweets, toppings, pretty much anything you can think of. I had marshmallow, Dream bar and ice cream. It was good. No, I couldn't finish it. If you're feeling a bit healthier, there are all manner of fruit smoothies and juices, which are all freshly made on the spot. There are suggested combinations with explanations of what they do for you (Eg: help you get over a cold/give you an energy burst/make you feel lustful) and you can get additional healthy shots of things that are good for you. But I challenge you to go in just for a smoothie - the milkshakes are definitely where it's at...

A new favorite place in Bath!…read more From the website: "Nook is an Aussie influenced cafe that gives a lovely nod to the wonderful cafes in coastal Australia... our vision was to create a place that sold all the healthy, wholesome, and colorful food that these cafes had to offer... think cold pressed juices, superfood smoothies, speciality coffee, poke bowls, acai smoothie bowls, and much more! ... It is about providing nourishment that is good for you but does not sacrifice flavour and taste. We also wanted to be super inclusive to all diet types so we decided to go totally gluten free (super easy with fresh produce), mostly dairy free, and have heaps of options for plant based and vegan lifestyles. Our produce is local, sustainable, ethical and where possible organic." It is absolutely all of that! Space can be limited, but there is a super charming and intimate upstairs area with some communal seating options and tables for two as well. If it's nice, enjoy sitting outside! The staff here is incredibly friendly and patient; please be friendly and patient back as they sometimes get VERY busy. My favorites? The Pumpkin Spice iced coffee with oat milk (made with pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, and coconut sugar - this is not the cloyingly sweet thing you'd find at a chain, but robust and well-rounded with spices of the season), the Banoffee Pie superfood smoothie (made with tahini, dates, maca, banana, and oatmilk - it's a healthy, drinkable dessert!), the Banana Bread (served until 11:30; it's toasted banana bread topped with coconut yoghurt, blueberry compote, maple syrup, sliced banana, and toasted almond - these are just the quintessential flavors of breakfast! so hearty and so many lovely textures!), the Sticky Sesame Tofu bowl (served from 11:30 to 3:30; made with edamame, sweet potato, corn salsa, pickled cucumber, sticky brown rice, citrus kale, mayo, and nori - it tastes good, it feels good to eat, it's filling without being heavy!). This is the kind of place you return to again and again to try everything off the menu. When I'm in Bath, I find Nook to be a reliable place for nourishing and lighter eats, as well as exceptionally made coffee drinks.

There is the number one reason in the whole world to visit this Juice Bar...they cure hangovers! I…read moreknow, I know, impossible you say, but I promise you they do. For £1 you can get a shot of ginger that will sort out your stomach, and if you're lucky your head. They also sell Guava, which must be somewhere close to a legal high. It's like drinking twenty cups of coffee at once. I promise whoever you are you'll be up to four in the morning if you drink some of this during the day. So make sure you only drink it when you plan to be up at four in the morning, otherwise very frustrating. The rest is all about filling yourself up with those B vitamins (my hangovers are so bad, I have researched this) that apparently are important, you know bananas, pineapples etc. And then, on top of those ingredients, it's up to you to choose what kind of fruit you like really. These are the real deal, made fresh in front of you, not like the ones you buy from the supermarket. I love this juice bar, they have really made an effort to think about why people might want or need to drink a smoothy and gone all out to make sure they can make it. Marketing trick or not, that's supply meeting demand.

Many people regard this as Bristol's original juice bar, because it's been there longer than most…read moreof the others that have sprung up in the past few years. With juices, smoothies and wholesome shots such as wheatgrass, some drinks on the menu aim to be healthy, others claim to help hangovers, and the remainder are just plain tasty. The yoghurt blends are tasty and filling, but the vegetable and fruit juices leave you feeling more wholesome - while for a specific pick-me-up you're better off with a down-in-one shot including ingredients such as celery, aloe vera, ginger, beetroot, and garlic (yes, garlic). You can sit down and drink them at the al fresco bar (fine in warm weather, but a wind channel at times) or have a take away. Prices are about average for juice bars - they seem fairly expensive on first glance but when you see what goes into them it's fair enough.

I love this place. It's not just a smoothie bar (it does soups, stews and porridge too as well as…read morechai and teas), but a great mini health food bar in it's own right for commuters. I found hemp protein powder and pumpkin seed protein powder for sale there. Most health food places focus on whey or soy powder, which are no good for me, so I was delighted when I found these on my way to work one morning. Total score! They also have raw food bars, dried fruits and veggie crisps, a selection of gluten free, dairy free AND soy free, raw chocolate bars. I have severe allergies to gluten, dairy and soy so most chocolate bars are no good for me, but these are! I was so happy to find them, once again, on my way back from work -not requiring a special trip to a healthfood place or having to order online. I could have screamed, I was so excited! There really is care and attention to the products on sale there that shows that they have passion for what they do. I realise these speciality foods won't resonate as strongly with the non-allergic or people who are not that into health foods per se, but even so and even before I had allergies, it's still a great healthy alternative to the usual baguettes, croissants and cookies temptations found in stations and the team are really lovely.
