There is no other place like it! My favorite flavors are: saffron with pistachio, basil, creamy lemon. But all I've tried have been great! There is no other ice cream place in Stockholm that manages gelato as Scarfo. The only one that comes close, is Snö at Kvarnholmen.

This "ice cream on the corner" really is on the corner and is the first shop (or one of the first shops, depending upon which ferry you take) you encounter. I took a ferry and wisely walked around for a bit before coming back to the shop. By that point, there was only one other customer. The shop is not accessible. There were two entrances with a few steps and no handrails. But you should be able to get to the steps and get a staff member's attention; it's a small place. Check the board out front for the daily ice cream and gelato offerings. There's a small selection of cold and hot drinks, too. I had vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls and crunchy toffee in a cup, topped off with why not chocolate sauce. If you're going over the cliff, might as well really go. Yum! Wish I had some now. Cones are also available. Tables and chairs are available out front under umbrellas.

They are made with real whole ingredients with decadent amounts of cream, egg yolks and sugar. So far, I have tried around half of all the flavors available and I haven't been disappointed. Servings are fairly small and price tags are fairly big, but you can really taste the craftsmanship behind the ice cream - it's very rich and flavorful. The downside is they don't have that many flavors - and almost none that would appeal to kids. So don't expect "outrageous" inspired flavors like salty licorice and cookie dough: This is more of a conessieur type ice cream joint, a real "gelateria" with traditional flavors made mainly from berries and nuts. ~150 grams of ice cream is 35 SEK which equals to a little over 23 SEK per hecto. ~250 grams is 55 SEK which equals to 22 SEK per hecto. Not very generous but definitely worth a try!
