We initially weren't sure if we wanted to go with a professional officiant or if we wanted to ask a friend of family member to officiate. We met with Mirelle to get a sense of what kind of ceremony she does and, honestly, to help understand how to put on a non religious wedding ceremony. We have friends and family that are great public speakers, but I don't know of any that have the experience to help us put together a ceremony that would as meaningful and thoughtful for us both as the one Mirelle had. Right from the start, Mirelle was super helpful and showed us her a la carte system for wording. She embraced our wanting to keep our wedding religion free while still adding nods to our Jewish and Mexican backgrounds. She went over all the possible sections of the wedding (welcome, remembrance, a reading, vows, rings, unity ceremonies, etc.) and how to customize each section (or leave it out completely) to fit our vision. If we couldn't find wording we quite liked, Mirelle was able to come up with an altogether new wording that ftr perfectly. We opted for an option where Mirelle put together our love story to tell during the ceremony. She gave us a few questions to answer so she could put this together and then it was a surprise for us on the day of. It was so beautiful and true to us that guests kept asking us what friend circle Mirelle was from. When we started planning our wedding, the ceremony didn't feel like it was going to be the most important bit because of our experience with other weddings, but it turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the night. Nearly everyone we talked to has commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how it really felt true to our relationship and who we are. Our guests commented that they had never cried and laughed so hard at a wedding ceremony. Thank you so much Mirelle! You helped us put together a wedding ceremony unlike any we've ever seen and we couldn't have loved it more. If you're looking for an officiant, Honeybreak is your team! read more

My husband and I were married on October 12, 2019...while looking around online for officiants, I came across Honeybreak Officiants and after reading all the reviews, I decided to send them an email.  I got an immediate response and was set up with Alex Black, who asked to make some sort of face-to-face meeting first thing.  We FaceTimed a few days later and immediately decided to go with her and it was the best decision we made.  I was emailed pages upon pages of wedding ceremony ideas, numerous choices for everything from greetings, readings, the ring exchange and the closing...after we picked what we wanted and emailed it back to her, she emailed back right away with any questions she had, or suggestions...she was also very open to any question that WE had.    On our wedding day, she arrived early and was nothing but warm and friendly...she came to sit with me and just chat while I was waiting in another room for the ceremony to begin and she was a very calming presence...I was told afterwards that before she came to see me she spoke to my husband and two sons, as well as greeted guests as they came in.  When we began, it was smooth from beginning to end - I felt like she wasn't just reading the passages we chose, but really speaking them to us and our guests in a very warm and friendly way.  When she proclaimed us husband and wife, she seemed truly happy for us.  Afterwards she had us sign the marriage license along with our maid of honor and best man as witnesses and then a couple of days later, emailed me a copy of it along with the text from our ceremony as a keepsake.   If anyone is wondering who to hire to officiate their wedding ceremony, I really couldn't recommend Honeybreak Officiants enough.  Thank you Alex! read more

OUR ELOPEMENT WITH HONEYBREAK OFFICIANTS: A RAVE REVIEW A week or so after we decided to elope in NYC, I stumbled across Honeybreak's Instagram page. We decided to take the chance and contacted them for a quotation. That's when we came into contact with Mireille. After sending some emails back and forth, all our hesitations were gone. We had found our officiant! Our experience with Honeybreak was great from start to finish. Mireille is a professional with a vibrant personality and lovely enthusiasm. She was very helpful and responsive from the start: as we were Europeans getting married in the US she informed us about all the documents we had to prepare and got in touch with us regularly before the big day to see if we had any questions or worries. On Oct 9 2019 my now husband Ben and I eloped at Bethesda Terrace, Central Park. The ceremony was intimate, thoughtful, short and sweet (exactly like we wanted) and exceeded all expectations. Although it was pooring rain and we were soaked when we arrived, it could not have been more perfect. We made memories for a lifetime, captured by Michelle and Towfiq from Wandermore Photography (who we also strongly recommend - they did not shy away from the rain to take the perfect photo!). Considering all the help by Mireille before and after the elopement, our sweet little ceremony and the stunning photos we received from Michelle and Towfiq - we believe the quality of the services is definitely worth the price. If you are planning on eloping / having a wedding in the NYC area we highly recommend Honeybreak Officiants and especially the lovely Mireille. Should Ben and I ever consider to renew our vows, we know who to contact! read more

My husband and I just married on 10/13/2018 with officiant Mirelle Eid in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. She was absolutely amazing throughout the whole process. I planned my wedding in six weeks due to having a terminally ill grandmother who I was hoping would be well enough to attend an intimate ceremony. Upon contacting Mirelle, I was floored how quickly she responded and how comfortable she made me and my husband feel about the process from our first phone conversation. After signing on with Mirelle, she helped us curate a ceremony that perfectly captured our relationship. She was thorough and so easy to work with that it made planning this aspect of our whole wedding seamless. When it became quite clear a few days prior to the wedding that my grandmother would not be able to attend the wedding, she helped me problem solve about how my grandmother could be included in the ceremony without physically being there. Through this moment, she demonstrated a level of empathy, compassion and flexibility that just blew me, my husband and our families away. On the day of our ceremony, she was extraordinarily professional and warm. Not only did she do a beautiful job, but she even sent our marriage license in for us! Working with Mirelle and Honeybreak Officiants was the easiest part of planning the whole wedding. read more

As I came to the conclusion that I wanted to get married in New York, my next question was do I get married at City Clerk or should I have a special ceremony? I'm glad I chose the special ceremony because I found Mirelle on Yelp! She had a ton of great reviews and my favorite part was that she gave us the ability to customize our ceremony with different verses. She provided us with a variety and as I put what I liked together I asked my now husband to pick what he liked, and we had pretty much chosen the same readings. Leading up to the wedding, Mirelle wanted to make sure all pronunciations of names were correct and I requested for a video call and she was able to set that up! Not to mention that on the day of our wedding, it was only myself, the groom, our photographer and videographer and we were still late. Thank goodness I texted her because it was a COLD day in New York!! She was so patient even after we arrived 20 minutes late. Our photographer and videographer were trying to find the best area and lighting in Central Park (Bethesda fountain/ terrace) and she was just so supportive in the whole process. The ceremony came out PERFECT and I am so happy we invested with Honey Break Officiants! The memories will last us a lifetime. Thank you Mirelle!!!!" read more

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of renewing our wedding vowels in Central Park with Jessica. I surprised my wife with our renewals so I needed to organise it all with help of Jessica from the other side of the world in Australia. It was the most amazing experience of our lives! Right from the start Jessica was super responsive to all my questions, provided the best guidance in the organisation of the day to the very last and smallest detail. Jessica could not have been any more helpful. The day went off with out a hitch (pun intended) and Jessica was the perfect person to renew our vowels. She was professional but warm, funny and exactly what we hoped for on our special day. Jessica personalised the whole experience and seemed to really enjoy sharing what was a very small intimate ceremony. I am so pleased I chose Jessica from Honeybreak Officiants and I would urge anybody looking for an officiant to choose Jessica. If anyone has any reservations about whether to proceed with them or not, feel free to contact me at josh.achadwick@gmail.com. Thank you again Jessica!!! read more

When you plan a wedding there are thousands of things that can go wrong. Having Mirelle as our officiant was a blessing. She not only gave us the most beautiful ceremony but lots of peace of mind. We decided to celebrate an outdoor ceremony at Central Park in a rainy day. She was so resourceful and stress-free and offered us plenty of options within the same area in case the rain was an issue. But when you have someone like Mirelle, who truly believe that everything is going to be okay, then everything will be okay. We had the most wonderful, intimate and meaningful wedding even with a light drizzle. One of the most emotional moments in our ceremony was when Mirelle read our story. How life puts us together and how we connected. She is not only an excellent writer but a poignant storyteller. She managed to combine and link the most important moments of our relationship in a way that surprised both of us, making us smile, laugh and cry. I would highly recommend her. We feel Mirelle is much more than an officiant. She is a sweet, genuine person with beautiful mission in life. read more

Pot of Honey(break) at the end of the rainbow! I would 100% recommend Honeybreak to any couples looking for an officiant! I felt we struck gold when booking with them. Mirelle was so super knowledgeable, approachable, kind & responsive. She made me feel SO at ease regarding any queries or concerns we had regarding our ceremony & the process in general. Planning a wedding from the other side of the globe is not an easy feat, but knowing that the most important part of the day (the ceremony!) was sorted - rather easily too I might add - made everything else fall into place. Mirelle helped to secure our Central Park location, provided us with local vendor recommendations, has beautiful vow templates and ways to tailor them to suit the individuals, and was always on the other end of an email if/when I had any questions! She has a beautiful, sweet nature, and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to officiate our wedding ceremony. Thank you so much again :)! read more

When planning our wedding, my wife and I wanted to make the entire day feel like a personalized experience that captured the love we have for each other. Mirelle was absolutely instrumental in making this happen and more. The ceremony she created was beyond what one can expect from an officiant. The way Mirelle not only facilitated an incredible ceremony from our point of view, but engaged our family in friends in our personalized story resulted in compliments that are still coming in months later. Her ability to convert our stories into a cohesive narrative that balanced the perfect amount of romance and emotion with humor both during the ceremony and throughout the process of working with her made our wedding experience truly amazing. I couldn't recommend anyone more than Mirelle to create a magical day for any couple looking to have their unique story reflected in their wedding ceremony. read more

Alex Black from Honeybreak Officiants 'Aced it'! We got married in Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York on Christmas Eve 2019 and had the most perfect ceremony with Alex. We wanted something short, simple, personal and authentic ... We knew we'd selected the right officiant from the moment Mirelle responded to our initial email. She introduced Alex who immediately made contact. Through the medium of skype, Alex effectively established a relationship with us. She is reliable and honest, with a wonderful, mature and calm manner. Whilst our requirement was for the briefest of ceremonies, it was not necessarily an easy brief but Alex brought with ease, emotion and the essence of us into the ceremony ... Even the photographer was in tears! Thank you Honeybreak for making the best day of our lives the very best it could possibly have been! Bev and Andrew Dayani x read more

My hubby and I wanted to renew our vows in New York for our 35th anniversary, and Honeybreak Officiants put us in touch with Julia Pearlman. She was so much more than we could have wished for! She took so much time emailing, texting, and then talking to us before we arrived in New York - she knew our entire love story; the journey we'd taken through the years of our marriage - the good and the not-so-good - and she helped us write the meaningful, touching renewal of our vows for the rest of our lives. Julia is such a great listener, we felt as if she knew us inside out. She wrote the most personal ceremony for us, full of personal details that applied to our hearts. We feel truly re-married, and as though we have a close, personal friend who simply gets us! We highly recommend Julia and Honeybreak Officiants. read more

Wedding planning is so stressful, especially because you don't know exactly how everything will come together on the day of. Ashley from Honeybreak Officiants was the one aspect of the day that I did not worry about AT ALL. Her warmth, patience, calm, and poise in the weeks leading up to and on our wedding day were invaluable. Writing a ceremony was initially so overwhelming, but she helped us break down the process, patiently answered our questions, and was clearly focused on helping us craft a ceremony that was authentically ours. To us, the ceremony was the most important aspect of the entire day, and that was in large thanks to her help. I plan to recommend Honeybreak to anyone who needs an officiant! read more

The ceremony Mirelle ultimately crafted was beautiful, fun, and incredibly meaningful to us. We felt very seen and will treasure the script she wrote and delivered for us. Logistically, we chose to email back and forth but it was very comforting knowing that Mirelle would jump on the phone or meet in person if that's what we needed to be comfortable with the process. She was professional, punctual and such a comfort on the day of. She made sure we had all the information we needed for the ceremony and the logistics of filing everything afterward (which she handled). Our guests had such kind things to say about the ceremony and many NY'ers stopped to enjoy the entire event from the sidelines! read more

Jessica officiated my wedding this past fall at a medium-sized venue in Westchester, New York, upon the recommendation from a close family friend. After meeting with us both individually to discuss the history of our relationship, what we meant to each other, and how we envisioned our ceremony, Jessica delivered her speech in an incredibly thoughtful, articulate, and poised manner, with the familiarity and intimacy of someone who had known us our entire lives. My wife and I were beyond happy with Jessica's professionalism, attention to detail, and her warm and amiable demeanor. We lucked out with all of our vendors, but Mirelle was the best of the best. From our first communication she was on point. She followed up when she said she would, everything was clear and easy and the ceremony was beautiful. Mirelle arrived exactly when she said she would, she dealt with us at our most stressed out and made everything easy. She was personable, professionally dressed, super helpful and delivered a perfect ceremony. Friends and family especially appreciated the love story component. Mirelle delivered exactly what we wanted- a very thoughtful, personalized, special ceremony. Couldn't recommend more! read more

My husband Carlos David Serrano, and I, Allison Kennelly Serrano chose Honeybreak Officiants to officiate our wedding ceremony on August 3rd, 2019 in Marina Del Rey in the Bronx.
