She dove right in, helping us sort our shelves, working with my child to get rid of toys she had outgrown, and organizing everything into themed bins. In my office, she helped me cull through years of paperwork that had been accumulating in piles. A few months later, I hired Louise to come back and help with our kitchen. Again, she helped us organize everything, from labeling and alphabetizing all of our spices, to helping us get a handle on our pantry and kitchenware. Louise works really hard, is easy to talk to, can work with different personality types (several of my friends use her too!), helps you donate/trash unwanted items, and makes you love your house again. I highly recommend her and I can't wait to tackle another room in a few months!

But hiring Iris was one of the best investments I've ever made for my family. I was a new mom at the time and felt extremely in over my head. She completely transformed my kitchen in a way that actually works for real life. It's been about six months since she organized everything, and my kitchen is still completely functional and easy to maintain. Every single thing has a home, and for the first time ever, I've been able to keep it that way. If you've ever felt overwhelmed in your own home, I highly, highly recommend Iris and her team. They don't just make things look pretty, they make your home easier to live in. Next up for me: my closet and my front hall closet! Life is stressful enough; your home should be a space that brings you peace, not stress. Iris helped give that back to me.

I thought I could handle reorganizing my home on my own (I mean, I watched that Marie Kondo show…read moreduring the pandemic). But as soon as I started, I realized it was so much harder than it looked. Sure, I could get rid of things or put items away, but actually creating a functional space that would stay organized when life gets busy is a whole different story. I consider myself organized and have bought all the bins before, but what I lacked was cohesion and functionality, something that only comes from professional experience sourcing the right products and designing a cohesive approach. Cue Iris. I could not be more grateful for the peace, functionality and organization Iris has brought to my life! There are so many things about Iris that made her the right person to work with. For one, she deeply cares about getting things right. Whether it's your taste and preferences or your needs for functionality, she is meticulous in designing a plan that will work for you. As an example, we have a rabbit, so we have to be careful about certain types of products we use and what's accessible in his space. She sourced items that would keep our space tidy while also keeping him happy and safe! Additionally, Iris ensures your home is a living and breathing space. She creates systems that aren't just temporary, but that you can grow into. We all know that all too familiar feeling of shoving things into hidden spaces just to get them out of sight. With Iris, she helps you think through the intentional use of space and finds a functional space for what you need, while (gently) encouraging you to purge the things you don't. Iris transformed not just my home but my entire approach to organizing. Her eye for detail, sense of style, and skill in creating systems that are sustainable (and beautiful) left me feeling genuinely relieved and so much lighter. I didn't even realize how much my cluttered, chaotic spaces were impacting my well-being. Now, every spaces flows, each item has a purpose, and I feel calmer, more productive, and happier just being in my own home! I work from home so this is extra important! We invest in so many different things, but often overlook just how impactful our physical environment can be in our own health and happiness. If there's anything I learned from this process, it's that hiring a professional organizer and stylist is key and Iris is easily the best of them all.

My house was out of control and I was crippled by the clutter and the mess. Lauren came to a walkthrough in my home with no judgement whatsoever and made me feel so comfortable from the moment we said hi. She has a system that makes it non-stressful for the decluttering and organizing process. She also has many connections and resources for what to do with your items that you don't want, or companies that can do things like build custom shelving and stuff like that. I don't have enough good things to say about Lauren and this business. I have a long way to go but I am already feeling less crippled, am more motivated to take good care of my home on a daily basis, and am more calm.

From move-outs to move-ins, pantries to closets, small spaces to entire homes. She's very responsive and communicates really clearly and professionally. Recently, we worked closely with her on a huge project. Our mutual client was having their floors refinished while they were out of town. She helped move everything into boxes and ensured they were moved back to their original locations after the work was complete. One of the best things about Rachel is that she's able to work solo. Not everyone has the time or desire to do the organizing themselves - they'd rather have someone else just make the magic happen. With just a few thoughts on the desired end goal, Rachel can run with it and make sure your space is transformed. She's an incredible resource to have in our network and we'll continue to refer her to our members when the need for a space refresh comes up!

Like most people who find organization challenging, I had the usual empty Amazon boxes in places that they should not have been. I was also sleeping on only half of my bed because the other half was occupied by clothes I had yet to take down to the storage unit. Now, thanks to Holly and Katy, I have far less stuff burdening my life. As a scholar, I was very attached to my books, but even I could see that it was time to part with most of them. What helped enormously was knowing that they would be in good hands. Many would be part of the sale to help the Seattle library, and others would be given to a second-hand bookstore. Holly, understanding my love for my books, had assured that there would be readers who would also value my books. After getting my clothes in an order that even I could understand, Holly helped me identify the clothes that I could do without. Katy did the heavy-duty work, including taking all the heavy boxes filled with books to the car. Holly and Katy saved me the cost of a mover by somehow getting everything into their cars. Katy took on the task of clearing out the supply closet, which had become a haphazard collection of things I could not find another place for. Holly organized the below sink cabinet in the bathroom, another very messy area. I could see how I might follow their lead when I moved to a smaller condo in another state. They showed me how I might organize my belongings so I could find everything and also have a calm and relaxing place to live, free of clutter.

I had the pleasure of working with Bee Organized who did just a tremendous job for my husband and…read moreI. The job in question was to set up functional closet and storage space across our house. We are new homeowners who have accumulated a lot of stuff from multiple moves, hobbies, family members downsizing and passing things off, a wedding, an addiction to the container store (think lots of boxes that don't have a place or a designated purpose), and dogs. When coupled with time-consuming careers and a quirky 1920s house, things were a hot mess until Bee Organized came in. Suzanne, the owner, responded promptly to my inquiry and came out within a few days to do a consultation and a walk-through. I was feeling pretty self-conscious about the state of things with my house but Suzanne put me quickly at ease. She was warm, friendly, non-judge mental and a consummate professional. Suzanne explained the process, shared her recommendations around services. Rates were very reasonable. I particularly appreciated how she noted how they try to incorporate existing storage and organizing items before turning to purchasing new items, which can add to the overall cost. Suzanne gave me some voluntary homework before my scheduled organization day. So prior to my organizing appointments, I spent some time going through my closets and set aside items to be recycled, donated, etc. I strongly encourage people to do this prior to a visit. By doing so, I was able to maximize the time I had with Liz and Alexandra (my organizing *bees*) in setting up functional and organized closets. They were also able to walk me through what items could be donated vs. recycled, which was previously overwhelming to me. Like, how do you recycle textiles? What can be recycled or donated or just thrown away? One visit to a donation/recycling center is included. Liz was able to load up her car and take a load to Goodwill--this was a BIG help to me. This was the first day--getting things organized and cleared out. The second day was building organizational systems and putting the items away. I so appreciate the precision, creativity and thought that went into making our closets functional. Liz and Alexandra ended up installing additional shelves and getting selecting containers by closet and shelf dimension. I would not have had the foresight and capacity to do this on my own. Their work really laid the foundation for me to continue to build a more functional and organized home. Beyond that, Liz and Alexandra were lovely and easy to collaborate with. They had great ideas and suggestions. The service really did pay for itself and a huge relief to have done going into the new school year. I definitely plan to use this service again in the future and encourage people to consider Bee Organized.
