If you need to get extensions in order to grow your nails longer under the Japanese gel, the first appointment will be pricier than the rest, but if you take care of them and use the nail oils (either your own or the one that Christy was so nice to give me) each appointment will be less than the first, given the range of designs chosen. The salon itself is a bit tricky to find if you're unfamiliar-- it is inside the 99 area mall, to the left of 99 if you enter from the front. It's its own storefront and is pretty quiet and calm inside. First appointment after tip was close to 300. After I've had a range of 130-200 after tip depending on design. I've tried other salons for less that provide acrylic or gel tips that have good reviews and techs but I've always had a nail break or my natural nails would suffer. I told April what I wanted, slight cat eye and somewhere between hybrid and volume and wow she blew me away.
