They give around 3 chutneys. Ordered pani puri- so good, pav bhaji- oh so good. I and her loved it so much. We topped it with some falooda- if you are wondering what is that - it's kinda like a smoothie with Indian styled boba ( it's not a boba but just to explain it comes with different types of nuts and fillings). This place was near our hotel and was a good option after a long day's driving. We went for a Tomato Soup (1/2), Masala Uttapam and an Onion Chilli Uttapam. Soup was good - didn't like the croutons. Both the Uttapam were nice. Definitely try them. Although Sambhar was a bit of let down. Not much taste at all. Chutneys were good. We took a coffee to go. The first time I went here I think I got some type of fried rice and it was okay, more spice than flavor, but today's selection was DELICIOUS. The dosa was fresh and super crispy, with three sauces, all of which were good, with particular preference for the tomato-based one followed by the green, coconut based one. The Punjabi thali was an excellent taster, all of the gravies/dips had incredible depth of flavor with so many layers. The spicy aspect in the thali was enjoyable and not overpowering. The paneer was a very good touch,and the buttered naan that went with it was SO FRESH, like HOT and soft straight off a pan. Service was quick and very respectful, ambiance was casual, and plenty of parking in the plaza. Honest Restaurant in Waltham is a gem for delicious Indian food! We ordered Pani Puri, Veg Manchurian, Chaat, Mango Lassi, and a Pina Colada--everything was absolutely yummy! The Pani Puri was fresh and fun to eat, the Chaat was full of flavor, and the Veg Manchurian had the perfect Indo-Chinese kick. Both drinks were refreshing--the Mango Lassi was creamy and sweet, and the Pina Colada had a nice tropical twist. Great flavors, friendly service, and a clean, casual atmosphere. We've been to this restaurant a half dozen times. The first time we went there the place was packed. We ordered various appetizers and dinner plates. My partner and I both agreed the food was great, but the service is something that was not so great. Putting aside the service, we went back a few times and we had an okay experience. We did notice less and less people each time we went there. I wish they took customer service little more seriously. The last time we went there, after we were seated, no one came to check up on us or take the order. We had to flag down a person in a fairly empty restaurant, after 15 mins passed, to get our ordered placed. We had to ask for water because the container left on the table was empty and it was obvious that it was left over from the previous guests at that table. No smiles, no apologies, no friendly gestures, no small talks, nothing to make a guest feel welcome. We're going to give this place a long break. read more

Came here for Sunday dinner coinciding with Father's Day and saw a huge crowd waiting outside so we were worried it would take long. We were seated in less than 10 minutes which was really nice. There was a lot of people inside but the servers and waiters were doing a fantastic job of optimizing all the table space they could and rearranging to accommodate as many guests without delay. We were starving so we ordered pani puri and dahi puri to start. The pani puri was nice and flavorful as was the dahi puri which had a bit of a sweet taste to it. Honest opened another location in Waltham very recently. They have other area locations in Lowell and Norwood. This casual Indian/Indo Chinese restaurant offers full service dining with ample table seating and takeout. The menu offerings include a variety of chaats, bhaji, noodle & rice dishes, sandwiches, dosas, uttapams, paratha platters, thalis, appetizers, Indian pizzas, desserts, shakes, and cold sodas. I stopped by Honest in Waltham recently for takeout. The place was not too busy compared to the Lowell location on a Saturday. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Pizza ($12.99 plus tax) and the Vegetable Noodles with Manchurian Balls ($13.99 plus tax). My food was all set in about 20 minutes after placing my order. The pizza was 6" round topped with lots of cheese, paneer cubes, diced peppers, red onion, capsicum on top of a hard crisp crust. The noodle dish had soft thin noodles tossed with spices, cabbage, green onions, and 2 soft Manchurian Balls, mild spicy flavors. Overall, the food was pretty good and mild spicy the way I like it. I got the "special" sandwich despite its lack of description on the menu because I grew up loving indian sandwiches so why not try the special, right? Bad move. I would've liked a warning that it would come so drowned in cheese that I wasn't sure if there was indeed a sandwich in the pile. Once I scraped off all the excess cheese, I was disappointed to find basically no flavor to the fillings, a strong departure from the "chatpata" sandwiches I'm used to. We have eaten at Honest a few times. Every time the food is decent, service is fast, and prices are inline with other restaurants.

This new spot in town replaces old standby of green papaya (Thai) in this little strip mall. It's not bad Indian street food, but it's several notches from being a 5 star shop: - food is tasty but hit or miss . Some dishes are great , others feel generic (like the Gobi with gravy , which felt like it could've come from an airport Panda Express type place). Prices are a little high , even for the current inflationary environment , but I get it .. it's hard to hire help and supplies are expensive. Bathrooms... could use some work in the cleanliness department. Tiny disposable plastic water glasses with a metal self serve water pitcher are pretty weird .. where's the regular glasses at a sit down restaurant? read more

The taste is truly authentic. It's not watered down to appease the Western Palate. Service is also at par. The ambiance is "hangout" not high end. Since the taste is so very good, part of me wishes it were a little more high-end. How ever, it's a chain, not a boutique. Delicious! Saw the post about the Special Sandwich after I ordered it. Glad I missed that because mine was not at all as described. Rather lightly accented with finely shredded cheese. The sandwich was an explosion of flavor and grilled panini style. Also we enjoyed the Special pizza. Delicious too. The Thali platter was authentic and full traditional spice. Subpar food - I have ordered various items from them over several orders. Orders included Rava onion dosa, schezwan wraps, choley wraps, and Vada pav. The food's taste was awful, there was this unpleasant aftertaste with every bite. Rava Onion dosa was roasted to an extent where I couldn't get a single bite that didn't cut into the gums of my mouth. I have a strong sense that the ingredients ( mainly oil ) used are subpar. I understand the food is meant to replicate street food in India, but that doesn't necessarily mean it should be made with subpar ingredients. The vada in the vada pav was so soft and soggy and the taste was awful too. They gave sweet chutney as a condiment for Vada pav. I mean whoever knows vada pav , they would include a fried green chili with it. I would avoid eating their food for various reasons, but the primary reason would be the quality of ingredients they are using. I would not dump their food in my body just because I crave for Indian street food. read more

I went with a friends group and we were ordering foods and were chatting, when we called the manager to order dessert he told it has been 1 hr 50 minutes and we have to wind up and he is getting buzzed that we are overtime in the table. We decided not to order dessert and quit the place. In spite of no one waiting for a table and in spite of empty tables the manager was very rude.
