When Josh came to inspection our roof and to provide an estimate of what our 40 year old home needed, the report was very detailed about what we needed to have done. The inspection revealed some small problems which we will be addressing with the replacement work but we had NO idea the problems existed! Josh make a thorough inspection of not only the roof but the attic area above the house and garage. (This was not a drive by inspection). The Estimate provided by Josh was very detailed and itemized for the Roof and Gutter work our home needed. Everything was listed and the price was very competitive. These guys are terrible…read more I had them come out to clean my gutters. I made a phone call and set it up. The individual on the phone was kind enough. He kept trying to up sell me - didn't even get a single cleaning yet. They were delayed significantly in showing up. A month past the estimate they made. They finally show up, unannounced, and offer additional services on the side. They seemed like reasonable services so I thought I'd take the guys up on it. In 15 minutes, the guys were done cleaning the gutters. So I spent $250 for 15 minutes. Not only did they not appropriately clean the gutters, they additionally left a mess, not cleaning up after themselves. They left gutter slop, tree branches, and other garbage on the lawn. The extra services? A bunch of garbage as well, doing minimal agreed upon work. I write a Google review expressing my disappointment. I ended up receiving a phone call from a lady who works for Cincy Gutter Boys who tries to bribe me to take my review down. Not only was it a shady thing to do, it was also a weak bribe. Some leaf blowing was performed, but we did not observe any flushing of the rear downspouts. After they left, we confirmed the back downspouts were not flushed. A photo provided by the company appeared to show work only on the front of the house. We contacted them the same day. They were initially responsive and said a crew would return within 10 days to complete the job, but that never happened and we received no further communication.

The day they planned to replace the roof, rain was predicted. They let us know they would come the next day, unless rain was again predicted. They arrived at 7:20 with 8 workers and a supervisor. They finished at 2:30 pm. The roof looks great. We are the third house on our cul de sac to use Deer Park Roofers. We all are happy with their work.

A large crew arrived at 7:00 a.m., the crew boss introduced himself to me, asked where the outlet was and patiently listened to my concerns. The crew was industrious and, according to my neighbor, more joined them as the day went on, so at one point there were 20 people working on my roof. It was completed in a day, looks amazing, and was done with a high level of quality, according to my neighbor who is himself a contractor. The driveway (where they dumped the old roof into the garbage truck) was pristine when I came home from work. Everything they did spoke of expertise, great work ethic, and excellent workmanship. What I wasn't really thrilled with was the inconsistent customer service. It seemed like a patchwork variety of people who worked with me at one time or another during the process, and no one really kept me informed on what was going on. The initial assessor gave me minimal information on even simple parts of the process, like how a choose a shingle color. (You waited a week to tell me (only when I specifically asked) that I could go to the office and take some shingle samples home, so I can compare it with the house color?) And the morning of the roofing job when I had a concern regarding one of the employees, the crew boss was dismissive of it. I called the office and they sent out a supervisor, but no one got back to me on what happened. (I didn't need details -- a simple "we looked into it and resolved it" would have been sufficient). But what really sticks in my mind was when the job was completed. There wasn't even a text message to notify me that they were finished, or any type of conversation or report on how it went. I came home from work to find them done and gone. Finally, after not hearing back from them (or even getting a bill) for a week, I called the office and was told that "earlier this week" (I assume 4 or so days after the initial work) a Deer Park inspector came to my house, checked the workmanship and approved it. So you went on my property without my knowledge and walked on my roof? And at no point discussed what you did with me or showed me pictures of the results? So would I use Deer Park again? I'd have to think hard about it. I hate being in the position of either choosing great workmanship/expertise or good customer service towards the property owner -- is it too unrealistic to expect both?
