In my previous years, the Cody Library was my usual spot, but since this one is close to where I live, I went here. It took less time to vote than it took to drive here! The whole experience was fast, easy, and free of stress. The folks helping us get settled were also polite and friendly, and they didn't make us feel rushed. I look forward to voting at the Maverick Library now!

However, my first 2 times were unsuccessful because they were closed and I had other places to be so we didn't stay. The 2nd time we came for a play day with my daughter but she fell asleep and I didn't want to wake her so I waited for her to wake up and just browsed around and played on the swings for a bit. This time we actually made it on time for play time. Very packed house today but it was a fun experience for my daughter. Especially since she's an only child. I highly recommend! It's FREE!! FYI we were informed today that the library will be closing Jan 26th until May sometime I'm glad we experienced the old version of this beautiful library! Excited to see the remodeled/ renovated version once it's done!

The library itself is pretty small, and for a library, it may feel a little lacking. There's just not a ton of space to get lost in books. For parents with young kids, Landa Library is a great place to go!

For a public library, especially in a small or medium sized city now, the place is very welcoming and boy, inside, lots of chairs and tables to sit on and enjoy a book, a magazine or just gaze outside like we did. The second floor is where the books are. It looks like it has an extensive book collection within the bookshelves. It has private rooms to study and write if that's what you want. For the children, summertime is a great time to go to a library because they have individual programs to pass away the doldrums of summer. Here, you can play, read and have a class with other kids. The outside looks great too. We did not walk around as much although there is a small park located within the compound. They also have a separate bookshop, all within a short walking distance from the library. All in all, this would be a grand place to spend a couple hours to relax, keep cool and get some reading down. We all need it after a very hectic eeek in the hill country. We got hit with another epic flood and to be honest, I'm not looking forward to next July!

Yesterday it happened I was in Boerne and wanted to go to the Tuesday farmers market which the GPS sent me to a dead end I decided to pass by. It is as beautiful as I remember it The librarian at the entrance was so welcoming asking how can she help. I decided to ask her maybe she can send me to the right direction. She did not hesitate to pull a map and explain to me how to get there I still took the chance to admire the library before I left and I should go more often to sit and read

I'm waaaay overdue to post a review of Igo, one of the best neighborhood libraries I've ever been…read moreto. I'm a regular patron and this is my go-to spot for voting and other civic duties. Selection is decent in books, magazines, and DVDs. Even better are the seating areas, parking areas, and bathrooms, which are all generous in size and well kept. They just installed solar paneling in the car park area which means there will be covered parking as well. On top of that, they're next to the Bonnie Conner park, perfect for a stroll after some reading time. Finally as of December 2024 you can also get a free upgrade of your boring old library card to one of their new, cooler looking ones!

One side of the library is all kids books and adults on the other side. This place stays busy most of the day. You can search online and have a book from one of the other San Antonio libraries sent there for pick up. Your library card is good for any of the San Antonio libraries. Outside there are a few reading areas and on the other side of the trees in the parking lot there's a park.

If you are looking for a public area with plenty of spaces to sit, study, and utilize goods and…read moreresources this library is great but the redesign of it has left the collection woefully lacking. The idea of a library is to provide a resource of knowledge to the general public. Much of the viewable collection is complete schlock. Common volumes of classics in public domain, department store mystery novels, religious text not grounded in the study of theology, biographies of the most powerful individuals, etc. A collection should be representative of many narratives and viewpoints. I understand not including the most radical or controversial literature in public view, but the lacking in your collection indicates a stand against knowledge. While it is important to provide for the general public, it is also important achieve and provide for those looking beyond the readily available. Books often are out of print/circulation. Not buying or throwing out valuable resources is a detriment to the community and, on a long enough timetable, society at large.

They have a wonderful selection of books to check out, items to check out you may not need to use…read moreoften and aren't worth a purchase - like a funky shaped cake tin - and you can even check out video games for various systems. The staff is very friendly and a wonderful resource.
